YB Datuk Nazri Tan Sri Abdul Aziz, the de facto Law Minister in his reply to the question raised during Committee Stage Debate in connection with the ex-gratia payment paid to the six judges is as follows:
1. YAA Tun Mohamed Salleh Bin Abas – RM5 million
2. YA Datuk George Seah – RM2 million
3. YA Tan Sri Wan Suleiman Bin Pawanteh – RM2 million
4. YA Tan Sri Eusoffe Abdoolcader – RM500,000.00
5. YA Tan Sri Wan Hamzah Mohd Salleh – RM500,000.00
6. YA Tan Sri Mohamed Azmi Kamaruddin – RM500,000.00
Supplementary Question:
I asked the de facto Law Minister, YB Datuk Nazri Abdul Aziz, to clarify in this August House whether the six judges, that were sacked in 1987, have received their respective pensions and other entitlement. Further, by paying the pension the Government has indirectly accepted that it was wrong in sacking the 6 Judges.
Minister replied that they have been receiving their pension all this while until today. The six judges have not been sacked but they were asked to terminate their respective services.
1. YAA Tun Mohamed Salleh Bin Abas – RM5,102.15 per month
2. YA Datuk George Seah – RM5,009.00 per month
3. YA Tan Sri Wan Suleiman Bin Pawanteh – RM4,811.00 per month
4. YA Tan Sri Eusoffe Abdoolcader – RM4,815.00 per month
5. YA Tan Sri Wan Hamzah Mohd Salleh – RM6,500.00 per month
6. YA Tan Sri Mohamed Azmi Kamaruddin – RM5,195.00 per month
According the the Minister they have also received payments for gratuities from the Government.
YB Datuk Nazri also quoted an excerpt of the Prime Minister speech in April 2008 during the special dinner held under the name of Bar Council and the cost of RM81,000 for this dinner was paid for by the government.
“Therefore, the government would like to recognise the contributions of these six judges to the nation, their commitment towards upholding justice and to acknowledge the pain and loss they have endured.
“In recognition of the contributions of the six outstanding judges, the government has decided to make goodwill ex-gratia payments to them.”
I asked the said Minister whether it was the Cabinet’s decision to pay the RM10.5 million compensation to the ex-Judges. His reply was that the Cabinet decided to pay compensation ot the ex-judges but the amounts were left to the ex- de facto Law Minister, the then Senator Dauk Zaid Ibrahim.

YB Datuk Nazri Tan Sri Abdul Aziz, menteri undang-undang dalam jawapannya kepada soalan Peringkat Perbahasan Jawatankuasa tmenenai bayaran penghargaan kepada 6 orang hakim adalah seperti berikut:
1. YAA Tun Mohamed Salleh Bin Abas – RM5 juta

Soalan Tambahan:
Saya tanya Menteri Undang-undang, YB Datuk Nazri Abdul Aziz, supaya menjelaskan kepada Parlimen sama ada 6 orang hakim yang dipecat dalam tahun 1987. telah dibayar pencen dan lain-lain pendapatan yang layak. Tambahan pula, dengan membayar pencen, pihak pentadbiran secara tidak langsung mengakui telah bersalah memecat 6 orang hakim itu.
Menteri menjawap bahawa mereka telah menerima pencen selama ini sampai hari ini. 6 orang hakim itu bukan dipecat tetapi diminta menamatkan perkhidmatan mereka.

Menurut menteri, mereka juga menerima bayaran gratuiti daripada pihak pentadbiran.
YB Datuk Nazri juga memetik ucapan perdana menteri pada April 2008 semasa majlis makanan khas bawah nama majlis peguam dan ongkos majlis sebanyak RM81,000 telah dibayar oleh pentadbiran.
“Oleh itu, pihak pentadbiran ingin mengingkatkan sumbangan 6 orang hakim kepada negara, pegangan kuat mereka terhadap mempertahankan keadilan dan menghargai keperitan dan kehilangan nan telah mereka tanggungi.
“Dalam mengenali sumbangan 6 orang hakim ini, pihak pentadbiran memutuskan untuk membuat bayaran ex-gratia payments kepada mereka.”
Saya juga menanya Menteri berkenaan samada Jemaah Menteri memutuskan untuk membayar pampasan tersebut. Jawapan Menteri berkenaan adalah Jemaah Menteri memutuskan untuk membayar pampasan kepada hakim tersebut dan jumlah pampasan terserah kepada bekas de facto Menteri Undang-Undang, Senator Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.
