On or about 22 September 2016 the MACC raided Tourism Malaysia (TM) HQ in connection with a probe of a rich DATUK SERI, who was involved in abuse of power and corruptions. It is an open secret that this Datuk Seri is a rich guy. Rumour has it that during that material time this Datuk Seri has several properties in Ulu Kelang, Putrajaya and Puchong and several luxurious cars and that they are part of the donations he received.
Puan Azleen Mat Zip, Finance Director of TM
From reliable sources the MACC officers were in TM office for 4 days and have seized documents from the Finance Department and other departments. Puan Azleen Mat Zip, the Director Finance of TM. She was questioned by MACC. MACC had also recorded statements from several officers from the management. Puan Azleen Mat Zip knew or ought to have known all the questionable payments made to certain companies.
Rumour has it that Puan Azleen Mat Zip had bypassed the standing procedures in TM and/or misled the representative of Ministry of Finance in TM to sign the TM’s Annual Accounts for 2015. Was this done to cover up certain very questionable transactions??
Puan Azleen Mat Zip should be called upon to explain why she did not follow the said standing procedures when dealing with the said Annual Accounts of TM and also about all the transactions involving this Datuk Seri.
To digress a little. Puan Azleen Mat Zip and/or Datuk Seri Mirza Mohamad Taiyap (DG of TM) have to also explain why TM was in such rush to make a payment of more than RM10 millions to a company (a special “vehicle”) just a few days before the 14th General Election (9 May 2018). This will be dealt with in the next posting.
By the way MACC investigation into this powerful Datuk Seri in TM was either put on hold or closed. Rumour has it that this Datuk Seri had used his political masters to interfere with the said MACC investigation. He is very powerful indeed.
PH Government should look into this matter as it will uncover more scandals in TM. The new MACC Chief, Yg Bhg Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdul,l should review the Investigation Papers (IP) for this case. This case will lead to many other interesting matters.
