Thank you, warga Wangsa Maju for attending the Chinese New Year Open House 2013 on 16-2-2013. You all have made it worthwhile for yours truly to organise this Chinese New Year Open House on your behalf. It was your night and you have made it so. Warga Wangsa Maju came in such big numbers to make this Open House a memorable one. It was truly definitely a 1Malaysia night!
All halal foods were served on the night for ease of arrangement. 30,000 sticks of satay, fried rice, char koay teow, fried vegetable in Chinese style, kuih-kuih for 3,000 people, 8 roast lambs and soft drinks were finished by 10 pm. Yours truly would like to apologise to those warga Wangsa Maju who came late and were not able to enjoy the foods. A point of consolation, all of us have been entertained by Yg Bhg Datuk Leonard Tan Production.
Warga Wangsa Maju, you all have been great and yours truly is proud to be able serve as your Member of Parliament for the last 5 years. If for whatever reasons yours truly has failed in whatever ways, please forgive me. Your big attendance on this auspicious occasion has given yours truly a sense of great satisfaction and most of all, a renewed encouragement coupled with the spirit of NATION BUILDING to do better for our beloved nation, Malaysia.
On behalf of warga Wangsa Maju yours truly would like to take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to Datuk Bandar Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Ahmad Phesal, Datuk Amin of DBKL and the officers from its Wangsa Maju Branch Office for their supports, the police and RELA for keeping the peace, JMB of Platinum Walk for allowing us to use the parking area and other facilities and the supporters of yours truly, who have helped to organise this auspicious occasion.
Last but not least, it would be incomplete if a BIG THANK YOU is not extended to Datuk Leonard Tan and his wife who have got Sdr Helmi the Gimmicks, Mia-Miao, Ms Rena and the Kong Brothers together to provide the fantastic entertainments for the auspicious night. The veteran Datuk Leonard, a friend of yours truly of more than 20 years, and mind you, he is still as good as he was. Of course, he had to be so because he is a Harley rider and still roaring on his Softail and will be acquiring another beautiful Harley very soon.
Once again thank you, Datuk Leonard and his wife, Sdr Helmi the Gimmicks, Ms Miao Miao, Ms Rena, Kong Brothers and your supporting crews for making this auspicious night a memorable one. You all have been great and warga Wangsa Maju were thoroughly enjoyed yours first class entertainment. It was second to none!

May yours truly take this opportunity to wish all Malaysian Chinese Gong Xi Fa Cai, Good Health, Happiness and Prosperity for the year of the Snake and all the best to all other Malaysians.
