NST has reported here that …
“Blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin was detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA) today, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said.
“He said Raja Petra, 58, was picked up at his house in Sungai Buloh at 1.10 pm under Section 73(1) of the Act.
“Raja Petra was detained after it was ascertained that he could disrupt and threaten security and public order, he said when contacted.”
Why detain Raja Petra under ISA when the Badawi administration can charge him in court using the Sedition Act? This is not right and is seen as an act of selective detention. What about those BN leaders who are just as guilty in disrupting and threatening security and public order? Only recently one was merely given a ‘slap on the wrist’ and suspended from office for 3 years. Why is the Badawi administration so unfair?
