PAC investigations commence on 22 November 2011

In respond to yours truly question, YB Datuk Azmi Khalid, the Public Account Committee (PAC) Chairman, told Parliament yesterday that PAC has decided to investigate into the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap.  Yours truly has been informed that PAC will commence its investigations into the said secret share swap on  22 November 2011. Hopefully something good will come out of this investigations for the rank and file employees of MAS and the nation. 

The MPs have played their role to protect MAS from being cannibalised further and the employees of MAS have responded with their valuable comments here.  Many thanks to the rank and file employees of MAS. Your voices have been heard by the MPs and yours truly. Yours truly believes that the Government has also heard your voices.

Hopefully, we will hear something from those representing the stakeholders soon i.e. the MAS employees unions especially MASEU (the main union in MAS).  

MASEUS / MESA / MAPA: What are your take:

1. on the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap and the famous “Collaborative Frameworks” as expounded by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the MD of Khazanah, and En Mohammed Rashdna Yusof,  “Amok” former business partner (when they were both in BinaFikir Sdn Bhd)?   

2. the terminations of full load Firefly flights during Raya season recently causing great inconveniences to about 7,000 passengers, termination of Firefly profitable routes from JB to KK & Kuching from 25-8-2011?

3. the termination of MAS profitable route to Bandung, Indonesia from 3-10-2011?

4. the MAS sponsorship of RM18 million for QPR home jersey when MAS was in “financial problems”?

5. the sudden decision to ask  the MAS MD for MAS Cargo to go on “leave” (MAS Cargo is one of the profitable businesses of MAS) and apparently MAS Cargo was under “investigations?”  Was this decision part of the so-called “Collaborative Frameworks” for the benefits of another party? Is this going to be another WAU exercise to make MAS “An asset light airline” as expounded by Tan Sri Md Nor Md Yusof when he was the MD?

6. is MAS Cargo one of the main (“LEAKAGES/KEBOCORAN”) in MAS? 

   
   
7. Do you know of other “LEAKAGES/KEBOCORAN” in MAS?

Yours truly believes that the majority of MAS employees and the rakyat would like to hear the view of MASEUS, MESA, MAPA and other union of MAS. We look forward to hear the valuable informed views to the above questions from the unions in MAS, especially MASUES.
