… and residents including Jack Quah should be happy to see its relocation in due course!
Wangsa Maju thank the Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, for responding on behalf of the residents in Danau Kota on the above matter, in response to our letter to Tuan Pengarah of Jabatan Pengurusan Pembangunan Penjaja Dan Penjaja Kecil, DBKL dated 17 Ogos 2010. It’s a matter that has long been a thorn in the residents’ waking and sleeping hours.
The residents are not so unresonable to request for the pasar malam to be shut down but only for it to be relocated to another location away from where they live. So that they can live in peace and quiet without the incessant noise pollution up to the wee hours of 5 o’clock in the morning sometimes, the roads leading to their houses being restricted and their driveways blocked with outrageously inconsiderate and illegal parking. Moreover, they do not wish for social crimes to happen right at their doorsteps and for their families to be living in and exposed to an unhealthy environment. This is surely not an unreasonable and unconscionable request. Datuk Bandar, Yg Bhg Datuk Seri Ahmad Fuad B Ismail, should therefore not waste any more time and get the Penjaja Department of DBKL to act swiftly in the interests of the residents and truly give meaning to the slogan “Rakyat Diutamakan”!
On behalf of the residents of Danau Kota, we would like to thank Datuk Bandar and his officers in advance for doing and carrying out the necessary.
