Foreign fund for “democracy” or REGIME CHANGE?

YM Tunku Aziz was at one time hailed by DAP supreme leader as … and other DAP hero as "Towering Malay" then

YM Tunku Abdul Aziz Ibrahim has been hailed by DAP supreme leader, YB Lim Kit Siang, and other DAP heroes as “a Malaysian Par Excellence and a Towering Malay” then

Election watchdog, Bersih, is a vehicle created by Pakatan Rakyat de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim to obtain foreign funding for his political activities, alleged Tunku Abdul Aziz Ibrahim, the former president of Transparency International Malaysia TI-M today. Tunku Aziz said he had always resisted overseas funding for local organisations because it compromised national integrity and dignity. For full report read  HERE.

YM Tunku Abdul Aziz Ibrahim (YM Tunku Aziz) was the former head of Transparency International and he was recruited into the DAP and immediately wheeled in as one of the DAP vice -chairman.  On 24-8-2008 YM Tunku Aziz was hailed by Lim Kit Siang, the adviser of the DAP, as “a Malaysian Par Excellence and a Towering Malay”, in  HERE.

YB Datuk Mansor has made the word "TOKONG".

YB Datuk Mansor has made the word “TOKONG” famous in Penang.

Of course YM Tunku Aziz did not know that  being hailed as “a Malaysian Par Excellence and Towering Malay” was not good enough to be any where near to the status of the “arrogant TOKONG and that it did not guarantee a Malay to play an effective role in the DAP. It must also be noted that a wife of the then suspended state assemblyman, YB Koay Teng Hai, has also said that her husband has prayed to all the “TOKONG” in Penang except one.  There is no room for dissenting views in the DAP.

We must be grateful the Malaysian Par Excellent and Towering Malay YM Tunku Aziz for not allowing himself to be reduced to a show case that was to be “wheeled” in and out at will  for political expediency. Without this slight digression, this posting will be incomplete.

The revelation by YM Tunku Aziz of external interference in our domestic politic through funding from certain foreign organisations  is very serious but it did not come as a surprise to yours truly. It was a confirmation of what yours truly already knew.  Yours truly will reveal more in an appropriate time.

It was an un-deniable fact that foreign fund amounting to hundred of million Ringgits  have been channeled  into the country for quite sometimes.  Of course, it was done quietly under the name of promoting so-called “democracy and transparency”  in Malaysia.  In September 2012 similar revelations have emerged pertaining to funding received by the un-registered organisation called Bersih in HERE.

Destabilising Government

21-2-2013, a special report by NST headlined “PLOT TO DESTABILISE Govt” where it was stated that about RM20 million have been injected into Malaysia since 2005, the Sleepy Age.  The excerpts of the said report are as follow:

“Sources revealed that from 2005 to 2011, almost RM20 million, courtesy of the Washington- based National Endowment for Democracy (NED) had allegedly been channelled to: SuaRaM (RM1.6 million);

National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) (RM4.6 million);

MkiNi Dotcom Sdn Bhd (RM298,000); and, others (RM13.3 million).

The monies were also allegedly channelled to the Southeast Asia Centre for e-Media (Seacem), Southeast Asian Press Alliance and the Centre for Independent Journalism.

From last year, several other set-ups, namely Bersih, Merdeka Center for Opinion Research, Lawyers for Liberty, Liberal Banter Sdn Bhd as well as the International Republican Institute, began receiving funds from NED, an organisation that had been claimed to have “played a significant role in attempting to destabilise legitimate governments and replace them with client proxies”.

Bersih co-chairman Datuk S. Ambiga was reported recently to have admitted that Bersih had received funds from the NDI as well as New York-based Open Society Institute, the administrator for programmes under the Open Society Institute founded by maverick currency speculator George Soros.

NED, on its website, said “it is a private, non-profit foundation dedicated to the growth and strengthening of democratic institutions around the world”. For the full NST report read HERE.

BERSIH

Incidentally, in May 2011 it has been reported that Datuk Ambiga Seenevasen has admitted that Bersih 2.0 “had received a small amount contribution” from National Democratic Institute   (NDI) and Open Society Institute (OSI) linked to the famous tycoon George Sorros. Both NDI and OSI are based in America.  She maintained that the fund received were meant for other projects and not for Bersih 2.0 street demonstration.  She also said “The funds mostly came from Malaysians abroad…many of whom banked in money into our account without revealing their identity.” Please read in HERE.

Just for curiosity sake, how could Bersih has a bank account when it is not a registered society.

Malaysiakini

The self acclaimed independent new portal, Malaysiankini, has also been reported to have received fund from National Endownment Democracy (NED) since around the time of its inception but did not reveal such glaring material fact to its subscribers/readers.  A former veteran journalist  Mr Y L Chong quit as the news Editor of Malaysiakini 10 years ago.  Mr Y L Chong has been quoted in AIDC to have said the following:

“Veteran journalist Y.L. Chong quit from Malaysiakini as its news editor more than a decade ago when the news portal management refused to admit that they were getting funds from currency speculator George Soros.

“I told Malaysiakini 11 years ago to come clean, and not hide such information from our subscribers and readers.

“I decided to throw in my resignation as I could not toe the line and keep the Soros link under wraps.”

“But I believe in ethical journalism, especially as Malaysiakini had flagged itself as promoting transparency and openness,” he said.

Chong had also first revealed all this in his blog called ww.desiderata2000.blogspot.com a few years ago, was commenting on reports that Malaysiakini and Suaram were among anti-establishment organisations that allegedly received foreign funding.

The two main contributors are the American-based National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the George Soros-linked Open Society Institute (OSI), which have been financing groups supporting its interests and objectives around the world.

“I was then news editor, and hence privy to information raised at Malaysiakini’s meetings, and I had learned that indeed Malaysiakini had received an initial 10% down payment of RM188,000 for a 10% interest in Malaysiakini,” he added.

Chong said he quit after confronting the two Malaysiakini’s top guns – Steven Gan and Premesh Chandran – and the two refused to publicly admit to receiving funds through Media Development Loan Fund (MDLF) run by the Open Society Institute (OSI), a well-known international unit linked to Soros.

“In fact Gan said it would be the death of Malaysiakini if they admitted to receiving funding from Soros,”.

REGIME CHANGE

On 5-11-2012 yours truly has tabled a motion under the Standing Order 18 (1) in Parliament  for debate on the serious issue of foreign funding injected into the country with the predominant agenda of “REGIME CHANGE”. Yours truly could not believe that the said Motion was rejected with just a stroke of the pen by the Speaker of the House, YB Tan Sri Pandikar otherwise the nation will be able to know whether the said fund from NED, OSI and others were meant for the promotion of democracy, transparency or REGIME CHANGE.

On 22-11-2012 yours truly spoke about our national interest against REGIME CHANGE. The excerpts of the said speech of yours truly are as follows:

Peraturan Mesyuarat 18(1) yang penuh dengan kriteria, tiga muka surat tetapi ditolak by a DR 22.11.2012 72

Berani saya cakap terus terang bahawa Parlimen perlu memansuhkan Peraturan 18(1) kerana

beberapa tahun…
■1550

Tuan Pengerusi [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Wang asing.

Where is the direction of this Parliament? To no where, dengan izin

Tuan Pengerusi,

Usul yang begin boleh ditolak dengan “by a stroke of a pen”. I am ashamed! Tuan Pengerusi, I am ashamed to be a Member of this House. [Dewan riuh]

Tuan Pengerusi [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Ya, masa habis Yang Berhormat.

rentak tabla pilihan mereka.
kita jadi Ahli Parlimen.

mana dana daripada National Endowment for Democracy terlibat.

Dato’ Abd. Rahman Dahlan [Kota Belud]: Boleh mencelah Yang Berhormat?

Pengerusi.

Dato’ Abd. Rahman Dahlan [Kota Belud]: Sedikit. Hello. Yang Berhormat Kota Belud
sedikit boleh?

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: Adakah Malaysia perlu pengalaman ala Arab
Spring untuk berubah dan lebih terbuka? Jawapannya tidak! Ini kerana negaraku ini perlu
berubah dengan tertib dan berevolusi.

Tuan Pengerusi [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Masa habis Yang Berhormat.

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: Sedikit lagi Tuan Pengerusi sebab saya
Bukan surat daripada SUARAM tetapi daripada Zain & Co. “In Malaysia, SUARAM isregistered as Suara Inisiatif under Companies Act of Malaysia”. This is nonsense.

A non entity cannot be registered through anybody, any company, any registered body. I am sorry, dengan izin.

Tuan Pengerusi [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Habiskan Yang Berhormat.Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: Sedikit lagi, sedikit lagi.

Special Forces Unconventional Warfare dari Headquarters, Department of the Army USA yang bertarikh 30 November 2010. Ini dokumennya.

Tuan Pengerusi [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Yang Berhormat.

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]:  Di sini, “Destruction Notice: Destroy by any
method. That will prevent disclosure of content or reconstruction of the document”. This is serious. Top of the Chapter 1, saya hendak memetik di sini, “word for word”. There is another overview: “there is another type of warfare – new in its intensity…”

Tuan Pengerusi [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Yang Berhormat.

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: “…ancient in its origin – war of guerrilas,
subversives, insurgents, assassins; war by ambush instead of by combat, by infiltration instead
of aggression…”

Tuan Khalid Abd. Samad [Shah Alam]: Tidak payahlah hendak…

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: Hendak jaga USA kah? “…seeking victory by eroding and…

Tuan Pengerusi [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Yang Berhormat, sudah habis masa Yang
Berhormat.

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: “…Exhausting the enemy instead of engaging them. It preys on unrestPresident John F. Kennedy, 1962”. This a key word. The key words are “It preys on unrest. Maksudnya ia memanfaati daripada kekecohan. Inilah kehendak-kehendak puak-puak derhaka ini! [Tepuk]

Tuan Pengerusi [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Terima kasih Yang Berhormat.

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: Dokumen rahsia ini boleh didapati daripada
seorang penulis warganegara USA iaitu nilebowie.blogspot.com.

  1. RD.

    Dear YB.

I have posted below comment on Din Merican’s, blogged about Nile Bowie’s article, but was not posted by the blogger.

“Interestingly enough, the NED does not conduct operations in countries that have close relations with the United States, despite having less democratic environments than that of Malaysia, like in Qatar or Singapore. Civilian movements that promote democratic participation and media transparency in countries like South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Japan are also completely ignored by the NED and the US political establishment”.

Is there democracy in Saudi Arabia?
Why are their women not allowed to drive?
Have there been any General election?
They follow strict syariah laws, even beheaded adultery, sodomite, and persecuted dissidents to the Sultanate rule. Osama Bin Laden was Saudi Arabian. They even practiced Nepotism in their governance, yet the US can turn a blind eye.

If they are “helping political parties broaden their appeal, ensuring that they rule justly once elected and aiding civil society in guaranteeing good governance… IRI can help catalyze the efforts of democratic activists in a country — so long as they want change more than we want it for them,” then why the need to be selective?
If the US really champion democracy, why the need to affiliate with the minority? In a democracy, the majority gets to rule.

In the US, there is a law that any NGOs receiving foreign fund for their activities, must declared their assets and be registered with Homeland Security which then labelled these NGOs as ‘Foreign Agents’. Russia had just recently enact almost the same law. I think it’s about time Malaysia do the same.

No wonders the US is the most hated country in the world. The world is lucky though, that now we have Russia & China to neutralize US’ act of aggression and meddling of other sovereign nation’s affairs.

YB, please try to push forward again this motion regarding ‘Foreign Agent’. Why was there no support from BN politician?

    Best Regards.

I totally agree with what you have written. NED and OSI are to destabilize the government. We must be aware of the organizations that have received fund from them. Thank you YB

Nothing here is what it seems. Wee is not the plucky hero. The DAP is not an evil empire. If you aren’t going to part of the solution, then at least stop being part of the goddam problem.
