Yours truly has been alerted by Anak Malaysia that a Petition Campaign has been launched against the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap and the “Comprehensive Collaborative Framework” (CCF). The said secret share swap and CCF were the brainchild of Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the MD of Khazanah Nasional Bhd, and his ex-business partner of BinaFikir Sdn Bhd and crony, En Mohammed Rashdan Yusof a.k. Danny (Rashdan). After a short span of 8 years BinaFikir Sdn Bhd was sold to Maybank Bhd for a whooping RM8 million!
After the signing of the said secret MAS AirAsia share swap on 9-8-2011, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar immediately appointed his crony, Rashdan, to take charge of MAS. Less than a week, Rashdan rush to London on 14-8-2011 to sign an agreement to sponsorship QPR Home Jersey for 2 years totaling RM18 million. This was the madam touch of Rashdan as the man in charge of MAS together a few more decisions to stifle MAS and Firefly by cutting its routes that were detrimental to the interest of our national carrier, MAS. For background articles, please read HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE.
Well, in April 2011 Tan Sri Tony Fernandes bought over a substantial share in QPR. Actually there was nothing wrong to sponsor a football club but definitely not during a time when MAS was said to be BLEEDING. Furthermore, RM18 million sponsorship for a very limited publicity that only confined to Loftus Road stadium (QPR home stadium) was a decision that will only be made by an ex-consultant like Rashdan. However, AirAsia got its logo on the QPR Away Jersey. Only God knows for how much did AirAsia pay for the sponsorship. Definitely it will not be more than MAS. It must be noted that Genting sponsored Aston villa, which by far a better team, for home and away jersey for the same period for only RM17 million. From a reliable source, the decision to sponsor QPR RM18 million was made by none other than Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar’s crony, Rashdan. It must have been done at the behest of you know who? Please read Jebat Must Die in HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE.
Below is the excerpt of the said Petition Campaign to YAB PM and YAB DPM:
Sorry to say…MAS is doomed. Sad story….
Why is Tan Sri Nor Yacob is so quiet? So is Omar Ong, the new recruit by TF to AAA’s board of director. Well done. More and more people are now against the share swap, CCF and that Pariah.
Tahniah YB..
Tahniah warga MAS…TERMASUK MAS UNION!!

Thank you for your comments and the link.
At this advance stage, MAS Unions including MAFAA and AMALEE had to be in the fore front of the problems. I note that they are not happy. Being not happy isn’t enough. MAs staff are waiting for their union to lead them against all the pain and suffering that they are facing now.
I have heard about MASEUS making numerous statements about picket against the share swap and CCF but it was postponed. Until this very day, nothing has been done except statements here and there. The MPs from all divides have spoken for MAS staff. The stakeholder like MAS Union had to lead its members and fight their own battle too. We can only do so much. Without the MAS Union standing up, we cannot do very much.
I hope that MAS Union will take the necessary actions in the light of the onslaughts under the name of the secret share swap and CCF.
Thank you.
with kindest regards
MAS Unions PTUI! PTUI! PTUI! PTUI! PTUI!
MAS Unions buat malu sahaja kepada ahli-ahlinya. Tepat sekali puak-puak ini sentiasa telan Sleeping pills. sampai hari ini tiada tindakan. Aj dan Rashdan buat apa pun tiada bantahan. Semua perkerja MAS amat meneliti tingkah laku pemiminpin MAS Unions.
Rakyat ingin menyokong kepimpinan DS Najib tapi malangnya beliau tidak menyokong aspirasi rakyat! Cakap tak serupa bikin!
They dont need the CCF anymore, the takeover is in full swing.

“We can only do so much. The stakeholders themselves must take the lead as they are the one facing the problems.”
MPS from all divides have spoken. It is now left to the stakeholders to take this matter to another level. The ball is in the stakeholders’ court i.e. the MAS Union courts.
Thank you for your comments.

Jangan hanya nak jawatan sahaja tapi tak mau ambil tanggung jawab..bila ada masalah semua senyap macam tikus..TAK KAN SEORANG PEMIMPIM UNION PUN TAK BERANI BERSUARA..
Just signed. Hope the petition has an effect on the PM.

Public and private corporations must sign the integrity pledge as an expression of commitment that their business transactions are corruption-free.
Malaysian Institute of Integrity president Datuk Dr Mohd Tap Salleh said the move would be the institute’s main focus this year following a surge in economic crime i and outside the country.
“The PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Economic Crime Survey shows 30 per cent economic crime happened in 2009 and rose to 34 per cent last year,” he told the National Procurement Forum for the Public and Private Sectors 2012 today.
Mohd Tap said Malaysia registered 44 per cent economic crimes last year as compared to only 28 per cent in 2009.
He said Malaysia suffered billions of ringgit in losses from commercial crime like fraud, breach of trust, cyber crime and forgery.
“It clearly shows fraud is pervasive and persistent everywhere. Controls alone are not enough, but strong ethical culture is needed,” he told the 400-odd forum participants.
Mohd Tap said the pledge was “hatched” in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Integrity and National Key Result Area Corruption Monitoring and Coordination Division established last year.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance president Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas said government and private enterprises may resort to “good weapons” to curb power abuse through integrity pacts in business and contract documentations.
“This can be a powerful tool to rid power abuse and corruption as any breach of provisions will lead to contract termination,” he added. — Bernama
Thank you so much for highlighting all the MAS/Air Asia mess.
MAS could have been great!
Air Asia on the other hand is a … (Well, I’ve been taught to not say anything if I have nothing nice to say).
That bloody crony Rashdan still dare to remain in as Deputy CEO of MAS. A failed consultant that was abled to sell his BinaFikir for RM8 million to Maybank. Maybank must be damn stupid or the crony Rashdan was too clever. Or there was a hidden hand in Khazanah that helped him to dispose BinFikir for RM8 million.
This bloody tak malu crony and to the red indian should be cursed for generation. I am sure that he will have to pay what what he had done to MAS 18,000 employees.
Let Allah deals with people like Rashdan, Azman Mokhtar and the red indian. We shall see how long can they last.

If the all the MAS Unions are on sleeping pills as alleged, let me tell you this :
MAS would already by now be sliced up and sold off in bits and peices, and
all of you, workers like Razak and Jala, who only know how to criticise without giving any constructive inputs ,will all by now be already on the streets, jobless, probably given only 3 months pay as compensation!
Trust me, the only reason why the ungrateful staff like you are still getting their salaries today is because MAS is unionised. If you happen to be from Engineering, let me tell you that it is because of the Unions that TF and gang
cannot move to sell off all of you as they please.
So I suggest instead of cursing and spitting at the Unions, just ask yourself, what have you done to assist your Union to fight this battle? Or maybe, if you think you can do better, why don’t you offer yourself to lead the Unions? If you can guarantee that you have access to the PM’s office or to whoever can make a difference, and ‘powerful’ enough to make demands, then , and only then , you can be in a position to criticise and curse. So, are you?
Atticus
do agreed with u. not many staff know that union exco stay until 4 am (this is not typo error) for few nites just to prepared presentation to PM, where union rep met him yesterday. the main objective is to give PM the senario of what happening in MAS now. while no firm decision been made, PM himself promise to look into this “drama tamil”…
this is the only way to resolve these issue by “wahyu” from the “top”. without divine intervention, we as mere human being is helpless…
so, those who curse union exco, maybe u all should get to know ur rep better or do regular TT session with ur rep…
YB,
pls give PM all the info that u have, even u already given to him last time. all this time, he only look MAS from these 3 stooges “eye” and after the “meeting” with u, he realise that is not as “green” as other party try to impress upon him.
if all the MP in Malaysia are “caring” & “concern” like u, Insyaallah, Malaysia will become no 1 country in the world….
cheers…..

Thank you.
I will do my best to defend MAS from the onslaught. I will be tabling about 6 questions on the issue of the MAS-AirAsia share swap and CCF for the March Parliament Session.
As has been said before inaction or very limited actions by all stakeholders including the Unions in MAS is no longer an option during this critical time.
Thank you.

YB,
Kudos for your untiring effort in raising this endless dispute with regards our national carrier future. We are with you in not trusting that the pariah will turn around the bleeding national carrier.
Please note that as a result of the sudden suspension of Firefly (whose fully booked flights prior to Hari Raya was cancelled by the goons in MAS) their 2 B737-400 aircraft that was operating out of Johor Bharu can be seen parked at KLIA until today. The lease charges for the aircraft comes to the tune of RM8 million per year and MAS is still happy with the decision.
If this decision is not bad enough, danny fernandes is following the advise of the fantastic advise of their consultant to engage Ishal Kutty to revamp its revenue management. Can you imagine, a person who only does pricing in Emirates is now assign to do revenue management which is a totally different cattle of fish. This under qualified guy is paid a million a year plus other perks to take the job that he is only half qualified. Cant the person responsible for this recruitment be sacked himself. Even AJ passed remarks that this guy is not up to the mark and had asked other staff in the department to backup this kutty’s incompetence.
From what I had gathered, during a senior management retreat held at the Marriot Putrajaya, danny fernandes had also informed the team of MAS new logo for rebranding where the red of the WAU logo is to be replaced with light blue color (maybe red is patented for AA only). Someone from the team commented that the light blue is similar to PKR color. Danny fernandes respond was, “thats good coz we need to prepare for the future”. Did BN government realise who they have appointed to be MAS? Is danny fernandes a government nominee or the opposition. Can somebody out there tell us the answer?
Very sad to see that such a handful of crooks can easily hijack a reputated airline like MAS. Staff should stand up united aginst this attempt to hijack their company and plunder their assets
Ilham Putra,
You are correct about Kutty’s work experience.
But I am surprised about your statement about AJ’s remarks. Since from what I know, Snr Management recruitment and appointment is ALWAYS done by the MD, so the recruiter is none other than AJ himself with a little help from his “friends”. MAS HR department head and no one else is not involved in the selection.
I guess pay the slaves peanuts, but you are willing to pay millions for cro.ks and confidence tricksters.
Atticus & Flyguy
How to give inputs when principal Union leaders of MASEUS cannot be found in the office. They are all avoiding the members. Please tell us how many meetings have been held by the MAS unions for staff to get inputs or for decisions to be made . Have the union leaders published the contents of whatever meetings that they have had, if any, so far to the staff. What were MAS unions’ responds to the parachuting of outsiders into MAS especially Rozman Omar and others from AirAsia?
Most surprising that it took MAS unions almost 6 months to do your letter to the PM. Is writing letter to the PM the only way? No one seem to have seen the letters. Aren’t you not supposed to keep your members informed of what you are doing or whether yu were sleeping?
Why asked the members to do work that the leaders were supposed to do? The leaders are paid to represent MAS staff so perform like a union leaders and not contractors for MAS under the control of the management and the pariah. Our duty as members to pay the monthly subscriptions and we did. Hope that the union leaders understand their role and not blame the staff. Please do not contribute to the leakage in MAS. Stop being part of the Panamera deadwoods.
You all have made threats to picket in September then December then ….. Now where is the picket when decisions were made that were detrimental to MAS. Where is your picket? We were ready but majority of the leaders were SLEEPING and BULLSHITTING.
Overdose of Sleeping Pills is not good for your health ok. Kick your habits of relying on sleeping pills.
If you can’t stand the heat please leave the kitchen. As simple as that. You are all there to lead and not to warm your seat during such time. Understand? Ptui!
Razak of MAS
We members of the union share your views on the leaders. Yes, they are on sleeping pills for too long thats why MAS is in such shit. They are good in bullshitting us.
Our duty is to pay our subscription to the union and the leader being paid salary or allowance to work and represent us. No point in holding meetings abroad with no result.
No point in taking about writing letter to and meeting PM. It is just an excuse for doing nothing.
No point in talking about picketing and nothing happen.
No point in getting contract from MAS when your members interests have not been look after.
No point in us paying our subscription if outsiders are fighting for us instead of the union leaders.
Union leaders we do not need bullshit from us no longer. Show us the action now. The very minimum you could do is to get a petition out for the staff to sign. Even this you are not willing to do.
A few of the union leaders needed badly the special treatment from DR MACC!
Ptui! Ptui! Ptui! that is what they deserve. We have been waiting for actions for far too long but got bullshit instead.
good job with the petition. hope najib will understand the problems arising and correct the matter immediately. meanwhile, what is the advisor appointed by the government doing? is his advice been ignored like what happened with the proton advisor and the previous proton management? also why must the ceo have another matsalleh consultant as another personal advisor? malu… when the ceo dont know how to run a company and then appoint ex-board of director who was sacked as director as his advisor. malu… malu…
Razak of Mas
Jala
It is precisely the attitudes of people like you that contributes to so much of the rot in MAS. You pay RM8 subscription and you think that can give you the world and everything in it? Hey, if you are man enough, how about YOU getting an appointment to see the PM and talk to the PM in the same no-standard language and thinking that you have displayed so far? I wonder how far that will get you, or how far it can get MAS out of the shit it is in?
Next, whilst people like me have taken affirmative action to get as many signatures as possible for the petition, how many have YOU got so far? If each of the 20000 staff gets 5 signatures, that will easily hit the 100,000 target right?
Next, I challenge you to hold the first placard in the picket. If you think that is the way to be heard. Well, let me tell YOU what will happen. Management will take pictures of all those holding the placards and you will be sacked, no question. But management will not sack the leaders first. Why? Because when you are jobless, who are you going to go to? Right, back to the same union you are now spitting at and cursing. And the leaders will be bogged down with the pathetic problems of people like you, and be so distracted that they cannot do anything else.Meanwhile what happens to MAS? Bungkus lah. So, to both of you, I challenge you to lead the strike. What are you waiting for?
It’s mind boggling that MAS is in the process of changing Cabin Crew uniforms….despite all the shouts of ‘”losses”….??
Agreed with all of you… Whether you are condemning the union or supporting the Union…. The problems now is no news or info from the Union itself. The employees is in the dark. The employees feel unsecure! At the same time the Union simply cannot hold the picket as it have an impact to the company, members of the union & Their own self…. They also makan gaji. If any one of them being terminated are the other employees going to stand for them. Malay phrase “Tarik rambut dari tepung, rambut tak putus, tepung tak terburai”.. Correct me if i’ m wrong…
Only PM Najib can resolve or stop the share swap & AA issue… If PM Najib doesn’t act on it… MAS will become History….
MH-J
Changing cabin crew uniforms is just the tip of the iceberg, my friend. Have you seen MAS’ advertisements in the papers lately? The first thing you will notice is that the ads are all in a funny shade of blue, no red colour anywhere. That is supposed to be part of the “new branding” of the “Long Haul” airline and the aircraft of the “Long Haul” will also be painted with the new livery, in shades of blue. If you are Chinese, the blue shades are exactly the colour for mourning the dead used by the grandchildren, so I am told. How apt!.
Of course, that will then lead to new ticketing counters and offices, new designs for check-in counters, new letterheads, new business cards, new buliding signages etc etc. Even a new Lounge too.Since I am not an accountant, I can only make an intelligent guess that this is going to cost many millions!
This is not mind-boggling enough yet.
Now, since that is the “new branding” for the Long Haul part of the airline, what happens to the soon-to-be-launched Short Haul part of the airline?
Obviously they will have their own branding too. Sources say the new logo, brand colours, uniforms, aircraft livery etc etc will carry more vibrant colours.
Maybe there may be a little red colour too, who knows, just to show some
association with the other side, who will one day down the road, gobble up this little piece of MAS, maybe?
All these will also cost many millions.
Let us not even begin to wonder how the staff are going to be ‘divided’ into the Long Haul and Short Haul parts of the business. If I have the answer, I should be able to charge the Unions a lot of money for the top-secret info.
Btw, the Short Haul airline will be launched on 1st May, a tribute to all
workers of MAS who will end up the suckers and victims of the CCF.
In the final analysis, when this new parachuted-in Management and the Board, which as we all know is dominated by our ‘collaborators’, have finished tweaking, experimenting, dissecting, selling off anything that has any value,
bringing in a new CFO to do some accounting acrobatics, spinning stories for public consumption that they are the appointed ‘saviours’ of MAS, at the end of all that, MAS will be just a footnote of history.
Fellow Malaysians, sign the petition NOW!
Dear Atticus & Flyguy,
Before you expect members to initiate appropriate actions that should be considered as ‘extra contribution’, please try the following acid-test whether the current exco are carrying their terms responsibly and effectively:
1. Initiate an effective communication with members. Examples – Updating maseutheunion blog, distributing current information through notice boards in every department, representatives (shopstewards) doing briefings etc. The so called picket only known to members through news and internet!
2. Why traditionally not replying members email send to MASEU mailbox? The best part, if you trace mailbox activity – it will show “….last access on date (several months ago)”.
3. Any members please call the key exco and ask ‘killing questions’. Then, your number will probably be barred. I cannot call them anymore for ‘extra contribution’.
I am urging members to observe and experience what I said – save those as facts.
Is it true that Jabbar (retired ex-HC) is becoming union advisor? Hope it is only a joke, members do not wish acid-rain!
Razak/Jala
if u don’t hear anything from union exco, doesn’t mean they are on sleeping pills and if u don’t meet them, doesn’t mean that they just sit doing nothing goyang “teloq”….
everyone can write to PM but will he give attention to u? it easier said than done…. union exco has using all avail cable, be copper of fiber optic to see PM and after nos of fail attempts, at last, on 14th Feb they got a chance to have 1-hour session face-to-face meeting with PM. lets see if u can arrange 1-hour PM time to hear ur problem?
Pls allow sometime before union exco to explain the whole senario as they need to wait PM feedback. they just can’t go public without giving PM a chance to look into all these.
do u know that 1 union exco is planning to have press conference after meeting with PM, but cancel last time after consultation? this is because they need to think about “industrial harmony” btw staff, MAS, govt and public, before they say anything…
while we are fighting and cursing to one and another, the process of breaking MAS’s services into piecemeal (kargo, engineering, simulator, AO) for sale is fast executing by 4 CONsultant appointed by the mgmt. if this continue, at the end, MAS only has 2 staff – CEO and it deputy. the rest kena jual
if this fighting and blaming is continue, we, staffs will lose this war, even without going into battle. wise man say “bersatu teguh, bercerai kawin lain”
moving forward, we need to be united and fight this “enemy” together. our enemy is not u, me, atticus or union exco, but those top 2 stooges and stepmother AK. if MAS bungkus, we will lost our periuk nasik, but those 2 stooges will get top post in another company. just like 1 evp who get to become CEO of 1 govt setup yayasan after resign from MAS.
for record, i am NOT union exco….

can u update us on ACCC lawsuit against AK on early this month? any outcome?

Why are you surprised over AJ’s remarks about that Kutty fellow? Obviously HE didn’t know the complete details of Kutty’s work experience and whether that experience matched the vacancy MAS had. So, who then found Kutty for the job, which by the way, pays very very well, him being an expatriate and all, with a posh apartment thrown in at Sentral?.
The answer, as with all answers to questionable practices in MAS these past 6 months, can always be found and linked back to the AA factor. In this case, it is open knowledge that MAS hired PlaneConsult (one of 5 consultants in MAS currently) to do “organisational and process changes within Engineering, Commercial, Fleet Planning ad Flight/Ground Operations and OCC”. Big job.
All to be completed by 30 April 2012.
Back to Kutty. He is hired under “Commercial” which is headed by an ACTING
Director called Shane Nolan. Acting for 12 weeks only, until 30 April 2012.
Who is this Shane Nolan? Google link shows he is the commercial advisor to PlaneConsult. Now, who is PlaneConsult or rather who is in PlaneConsult? None other than Conor McCarthy, co-founder of AA and currently director in AA!!who is also the MD of PlaneConsult!! Does not take a genius to figure this one out.
Back to Kutty again. In the scope of work for PlaneConsult, it is stated that
“a number of individuals have already been identified and recommended as suitable to assume permanent roles within a re-structured MAS. PlaneConsult
would help facilitate the absorption of these personnel into MAS…”
Therefore, all the key positions today are not sourced by AJ or HR. PlaneConsult just tells MAS, this is the person, just hire him. Since PlaneConsult is also AA consultant and its MD co-founder of AA, my simple conclusion is that this is not a collaboration but a collusion of the highest order to canni..lise and dest..y MAS.
Back to the many consultants in MAS, it is also very clear that they are in MAS to do the thinking and execution of all the plans BEHIND the official version of the Business Plan. So, PM Najib and Khazanah, does that not make AJ and Danny Rashdan redundant?
Everybody, if you are sickened by all this, sign the petition now. Get all your family, friends, acquantances to do so as well. There is no time to lose.
Kunyit Hidup
Jabar is now employed by Maseu as its executive secretary. Payback time and employment in perpetuity. This is not a joke.
MH-J/ Recalcitrant
Not forgetting the forced migration of about 2000 staff from Subang to KLIA , which costs more than RM30 million. Reason given by AJ is that it is normal for an airline to be near an airport. Also to get rid of the ‘silos’ if everybody sits in one building instead of scatterred in different buildings. This kind of logic is mind-boggling.Also easier to call meetings, people do not have to come from far away. This AJ guy must be from a dinosaur era. People have to be in the same building to make meetings easier to conduct? He has never heard of emails, teleconferencing etc etc?
Or maybe this is all just a smokescreen to cover the REAL reason behind this migration? MAS offices in Subang happen to be located on very prime peices of land…….
Atticus/FlyGuy
Stop being an emperor apologist and keep on shifting the goal as the game is played. We are union members you are there to represent us the workers. If you expect us to lead then just resign en-block. Stop bullshitting.
Whatever the subscription paid is irrelevant. If you think that RM6 is peanut then stop collecting them. I am sure that the union leaders have more than enough resources to see them through by now.
Just carry on taking you Sleeping Pills. Just look at yourself at the mirror and ask yourself what have you done so far beside screaming about seeing the PM after so many months and the horse has bolted.
Tak malu kah? Telan Sleeping Pills begitu banyak? Rightly put, Dr MACC should give the shameful lots a good treatment. Of course, in the basement or any room without any window!
Flyguy,
If the exco lasts till next AGM and eyeing for the next term, we will do exactly as said. Evidences of ‘malpractice’ may be used during AGM. However for any human with self-respect or self-esteem, they already sacked themselves long time ago.
Pak Pandir,
If previously TF/AA was our enemy, now they are our paymaster. If Jabar is now in MASEU, Alias and Malek would be HC consultants’ days after retirement. Perhaps to complement Khazanah’s CCF.
Then, MASEU members will always become Lebai Malang!
kunyit hidup
I agree with your view that if the members of Maseu are not happy with their leaders, they should vote them out. As an old man who have been watching from the sidelines (I am not a member), I always wondered why these 15,000
or so members , some of whom like Razak of Mas and others make so much noise, but when it comes to the AGM they can’t even get the minimum quorum to attend, much less even put up candidates who are eligible. So, to me, it is like ‘anjing menyalak bukit’ only.
And, TF/AA is NOT our paymaster. If anything, I believe THEY are milking us to foot some of their bills, like uplifting their 30000 pax for a song (can anyone make public what the ‘price’ is?).
Yes, it will be to no-one’s surprise if Malek/Alias becomes HR consultants to MAS after retirement. (IF MAS survives this).Did you not know that their ‘partner’ in HC today , the main white-haired man, no less, will ensure that they will be taken care of? The quartet of Alias/Malek/Jabar/Hj Yusof have been having a ball, and have managed to con and manipulate a few MDs already, including Idris Jala. How? By appointing themselves the custodians of
‘industrial harmony’! Now, since the white-haired man and AJ were classmates/schoolmates, Jabar has become dispensible and therefore not extended. But they will still scratch each other’s backs and will take MAS for a ride for as long as they can
Sungguh malang nasib MAS!
Hahaha..that Jabar guy (retired HC staff) himself is a joke. Dunno anything except kipas the big bosses. Only good at talking, work zero. His staff in HC once said he doesnt even know how to use the email. His staff has to do it for him. Before his term expired, people said he tried hard to sell himself (lobby) for extension, up to MD and Chairman, but LUCKILY they didnt extend him, otherwise hancur ini company. Because he always create trouble between management and union, never say the true things. And his boss, Yusuf, also doesn’t know anything so always follow this Jabar guy. This jabar can control him one. No wonder MASEU take him as advisor, as MASEU also is a joke. Hahahahaaaa….joke…joker…
Recalcitrant: Thanks for the insight…I stopped reading the newspapers a long time ago….yes, invariably it will lead to all you mentioned, that’s the idea I guess. Hmmm…doing it very differently from the 80’s when changes were made to support the ‘austerity drive’…..seems like they are on a ‘spending spree’ now!!
One hand the two idiots (AJ and Rashdan the crony) in MAS telling the world that MAS is in finical problems. On the other hand this crony Rashdan still on a spending spree it seems. After RM18 million sponsorship to QPR, a pariah team owned by a pariah, now he is doing all the cosmetic changes to spend MAS money. This is what we are talking about leakages.
YB should hantum them in Parliament this March. We the rakyat keep on signing the the Petition until Najib hears us and sack Azman Mokhtar, Rashdan and AJ. That will be the time when we can say that MAS is safe.
MAS union leaders. What leaders? They expect to lead and at the same time on Sleeping Pills. That is what they are good for.
Padan muka you all semua. You ingat dengan jumpa Najib boleh selesai masalh you all ke? You all semua kena tengok cermin itu diri dulu.
Kepada ahli MASEU,
5. Masih ingat kehilangan RM 1 juta duit kesatuan? Kalau terlupa, boleh tanya Malek.
Collaboration Alias-Jabar bagaikan MAS-AirAsia, kedua-duanya merugikan kakitangan. Saya setuju bahawa MH itu MUSNAH HARAPAN.
Poor MAS employee. You all screw up and you ingat Mr Staus quo will help you. No way man, everything will remain status quo. That is your beloved PM
To Anonymous 6:21,
I do not know whether TUPE 1981/2006 (Transfer of Undertaking for Protection of Employees) as in the UK is also a part of Malaysian Labour law.
If applicable here, the new company will have to retain all the staff benefits as of the former company (in case of MAS declared bankrupt and the new company is requiring the same manpower/expertise to run the same business).
If not applicable here, blame all unions in Malaysia and most importantly – your chosen government!

Ayuh kita sokong bantahan..“HENTIKAN KEMUSNAHAN MAS”
I heard now the simulator/training center also want to be sell.. gosh what happened all those clown all the profit thing they want to sell… they should learn from the history where tajudding sell all MAS treasure, now MAS become like pemintak sedekah already, if they sell training center and engineering, MAS got nothing, only their underwear left, and one day, they will let go their underwear also…. so sad… may god strike them with lightning one day..padan muka
Beware of the consultant “Plane Consult”. Shane … is now preparing a big secret project to destroy MAS business. He is an Irish idiot who doesn’t understand how full service airline works. All he knew is the low cost airline strategy that is not compatible with MAS. Very stupid of MAS management to appoint this idiot as Commercial Director when he doesn’t understand the commercial aspect of MAS.
Sad sad story of MAS is continuing again. MAS is doomed.
All the happenings in MAS, THNAKS to Azman Mokhtar and his crony Rashdan. AJ is just an idiot ready to be used as a budak suruhan.

Your warning about PlaneConsult is very true. They have been given a blank cheque to implement “plans” and even to “recommend” who to hire. Since they are also AA’s consultant (MD of PlaneConsult sits on AA Board) , obviously to them the most “qualified” people to be hired by the newly-structured MAS must be from AA . The portfolio of airlines that PlaneConsult have been consulting to reads like the pages of “Failed Airlines of the world”. Has anyone today heard of Deccan Air for example?
So, with the combined “brilliance” of AJ and Danny, and endorsed by an AA-dominated MAS Board , MAS is paying them more than RM3mill (after rough conversion from the Euro), not including out of pocket expenses, for FOUR month’s work. Other perks thrown in are business class tickets to balik kampong after every 4 weeks. In practice, these consultants sit in MAS offices and gets the staff to actually compile the data , implement their “recommendations” etc. because in the consultancy contract, they have FULL access to staff and info and FULL authority to give the orders.
So MAS hires a consultant to low cost airlines to turn around a full-service airline. MAS is by now, the laughing stock of its competitors, especially the one down south.
MAS full year financial results is due to be announced next week. We hear the announcement will be postponed. The numbers must be so frightening. News is that MAS is so cash-strapped that getting by operationally is a challenge. With this scenario, and the plans to spend big money as described by Recalcitrant, we can only conclude that AJ, Danny and the Board must be hallucinating. Let us see how the new CFO from AA will conjure up some accounting acrobatics to put a spin to the numbers, he has has ample experience in AA on this, so I am sure that was the skill set that got him hired by MAS .
it is sad to see what is happening to MAS. Shane has a PA too by name of Looi. Both are from Plane Consult and Looi is very demanding with the malay ladies in revenue management. Sometimes, I feel we are under the Irish colony and the local cannot speak up. if you do, your name will go to danny…
People may wonder why PM is not aware. Reason is his Economic Advisor Omar Mustafa Ong also sits on board of Air Asia.
Let’s all take a step back to see how MAS’ performance has deteriorated since its glory days. Look at how SIA has grown and MAS has shrunk since MSA was split in the 60s. What MAS is today is not do the recent oil shocks and competition but is MAS own doing. When jet fuel prices were low, MAS can afford to be fat and inefficient. Times have changed and competition is tougher but MAS continues to be managed like a not-for-profit organization which always depends on the lifeline thrown by government every time it screws up. MAS employees should realize that the money injected to bail the company over the last decade could be put to better use than be wasted on an unprofitable business. The airline is industry is a very competitive – just see SIA’s fourth quarter results and unless we wake up, and without the support of the MAS employees to help improve productivity and at the same time downsize, I am confident we will be seeing many more rounds of cash injections by the tax-payers.
How many Mat Salleh have MAS gone through? Too many and yet still in the shit. There goes to show that we we need a local Melayu,Chinese or Indian to fix things for MAS. We need good Malaysians to run MAS without interference.
Get rid of Shanon, Martin Burrow and the like. That may just help MAS.
They had a great guy in Datuk Eddy Leong, unfortunately, they let him go..

MAS employees realise a lot of things. MAS employees also realise that, over the years, it is the government, including Khazanah today, that selects / appoints the MDs/CEOs. The mechanism for this is simple, whoever has the blessings of the political masters gets the job. And ALL of them, when assuming the position , will come up with their “transformation” plans, and these plans will discard continuity and introduce “new” ways of doing the business. Maybe each of these MDs, knowing that the tenure of this position is never long-term, simply wants to ‘leave a legacy’ and therefore we the employees, keep getting “flavour-of-the month” business plans every two or three years! All quick-fix plans , including the infamous WAU Part 1 headed by the current Chairman and the Binafikir guys. Or, the seven-year Tajuddin Ramli regime, which legalised widespread looting of MAS, and destroyed a culture of esprit-de-corps and forever changed the landscape and mindscape in MAS.Meanwhile, the core structural issues, including the PEOPLE issue is ignored, simply because these issues need longer term solutioning, and none of the MDs had the long-term timing for it, or they were all lulled by fancy HR presentations, therefore they thought everything is fine and dandy. Today, there are so many employees who are qualified and professional, but when key top positions fall vacant, it will be outsiders who will be parachuted in.
MAS employees today know that productivity has to be improved, but has the management defined ways to do this? HR’s definition of improving productivity is to reduce annual leave days! Same thing with downsizing. in 2006, big money as spent to pay-off 2600 staff, but the exercise was so botched, thanks again to the incompetency of HR. By 2008, the staff numbers swelled back to the pre-MSS numbers, but the new staff brought in were mainly the senior
positions with equally ‘senior’ salaries.
MAS employees have seen how a once much-loved Company has been
continuously mis-managed by successive MDs/CEOs from Tajudin Ramli to the present. MAS has always been used as a pawn in a much bigger game,
and the biggest game is being played out right now in front of our eyes. This time MAS employees can see that the end game will be a CHECK-MATE for us.
Dear all Malaysians,
1. MAS (mission & vision) is not merely for profit but also to give back to Malaysians. In doing so, quite heavy portion of profits from mostly international sectors were meant to cover non-profitable routes i.e. domestic and political routes. Nevertheless MAS is expected to be self-sufficient to run on its own without taxpayers money. Thus for many years MAS graded staff did not get any bonus, competitive pay and other benefits as good as government servants. If MAS is allowed to decide freely (business decisions including domestic fare or like AirAsia), MAS wont be in financial troubles repeatedly unless during TR. Evidently the accumulated assets were used to show profits during Idris and soon under AJ till nothing left. Then consultants would proudly say, asset-light.
2. In general, staff productivity is not a major issue but leakages issues. Like other GLC, MAS is participating in many govt employment schemes or fulfilling social obligations. However I am not denying the legacy of employing people that not fit-for-purpose. That including govt appointed directors and senior management. In short, MAS is rich with experts operationally but very obvious weak management. MAS is continuously importing external managers and discriminating internal talents and even with that, critical decisions done by consultants. Audits will exhibit the amount (leakage) paid to external managers and consultants worth millions yearly! YB Wee should insist on these numbers in parliament.
3. External managers may be good for short to medium term to lay out business foundation while MAS developing internal talents. Unfortunately succession plan is just on paper. Though not necessary, MAS is always running by non-aviation experts including middle managers. For a record, fuel expert like Idris made MAS lost billions on fuel hedging.
4. Khazanah share swap does not financially revitalise MAS, proven by the needs of external managers purportedly to fix MAS. Khazanah list of failures is growing, previously WAU and the latest is Medini. Any good businessman will not part into a hopeless company while a potentially healthy company if portrayed with serious illness may be bought cheaply. AirAsia is portrayed positively so the price is right, Mr Tony?
I have to stop now, going to work (we call it sacrifice for Malaysia – no bonus, no good pay-rise or benefits years behind govt servants). I hope the rakyat will not simply blame kakitangan biasa (graded staff) if you are not willing to support us. Staff is already a victim, taxpayers please channel your anger to the root-causes, thank you.

MAS is doomed this time. It is now worst than under WAU, the BinaFikir Sdn Bhd baby. Forget about the union leaders a bunch of good for nothing. Lets sign the petition and hope that Najib will do something before MAS is 100 % finished.
I pity u guys in MAS. As an outsider but with some knowledge of workings in MAS, I summarize ur problems in MAS:-
1) Ppl with no industry specialization heading MAS (Tajuddin Ramli, Idris Jala, Azmil n now AJ n many more at other senior posts)
2) Exbortiant salary n perks to unqualified ppl mentioned above
3) Unfair contracts of MAS with crony businesses (catering, cleaning job etc)
4) Various Conflict of interest (azman, Danny Yusuf, Tony Fernandez)
5) Unfair CCF with Tony
6) Inferiority complex by giving preference to blue-eyed con sultans like the Plane Consult
7) MAS Employees Union who remained mum to almost 15 years of plundering by all n sundry from time to time
Well said, Mohamed, Kunyit Hidup and all. YB Wee, please make them disclose all this spending on con sultans who only serve to make it worse for MAS!
Dear Readers,
Yours truly has tabled several questions for the March Parliamentary Session. One question has been dedicated to the consultants fees paid by MAS from 9-8-2012 until 29-2-2012 and special reference has been made to PlaneConsult.
The Parliamentary questions. Will be posted soon.
May yours truly say thank you to all the readers for your contributions and the comments have been very helpful to yours truly understanding of this subject matter.
Thank you so much. Have a nice weekend.
With kindest regards
Wee choo keong
Dear YB Wee,
The CCF may involve;
1. The loss making Qantas group is outsourcing or shrinking its engineering & technical services due to very high cost if done locally, looking somewhere else for cheaper heavy maintenance either to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. MAS engineering is the potential candidate that will make money. Tony will ask for significant stake in the new engineering company because of contracts with Qantas & AA/AAX, his man is in.
2. MAS, Qantas, Jetstar & AA/AAX group are interested in A350 or the newer green version to replace equivalent fleets. Tony the broker is talking another bulk order (cheaper pre-launch that assists production compared to catalogue price) from Airbus, Danny hinted that in a press statement.
3. The new short-haul premium airline will take into consideration of Qantas bilateral alliance besides of course Tony himself. Guess why Qantas sponsoring MAS into oneworld alliance? The operations will be run by ‘former’ MAS and Firefly staff that will receive less attractive terms (at low cost operations). Tony is in MAS, he is convincing his friend Mr Joyce that he can execute the plan through puppet AJ. In return, AirAsia may be associated with Jetstar/Jetconnect for LCC segment. They are referring to double-market in both segments without intra competitions.
Above are PROBABLE reasons to justify share swap and segmenting MAS that may be used by Khazanah/government. Other than current MAS staff welfare, union and national leaders must get prepared with factual objections. If incapable to establish the ‘loop-holes’, union leaders should be forced to step down together with BN!
Good luck & best wishes YB Wee.
YB,
don’t just focus on planeCONsultat. pls check other 3 Con – E&Y, TMI and PwC. we need to know why there is so many CON in MAS right now, yet for the few months, MAS still hired about 7 EVP/SVP + with 2 goon on the top.
i believe planeCONsult has the biggest CON job in MAS as their task is to so call “restructure’ AO, engineering, simulator, sales, NRM with their monthly fees bout RM 1 mil/mth with 3 mths contract, excld pocket money/accom/business class flight. for extra hours job, this CON charges MAS GBP 500/hr for their director (can’t remember his name) and GBP 330/hrs for normal CONman.
this can only show those 2 goon don’t now to run an airlines. at least when MAS doomed, they just can say ” i follow CON advice. what can go wrong?”
Well done, Kunyit Hidup and all.
We shall expose the root cause soon.

The amount of delusional posts in this particular thread is mind-boggling, to say the least.
Sadly, it just goes to show that all of these supposedly righteously indignant people have little understanding of the realities of the global aviation industry.
That, unfortunately, appears to include you, Mr Wee.
The prevailing mentality seems to be that MAS has a right to go on making losses and perpetuating inefficiencies just because it’s the “national airline” and because it’s existence and management are visible symbols of certain agendas.
This is the typical frog under the coconut shell mentality that hews to the proposition that there is no such thing as competition and MAS and it’s employees are owed a living.
Unfortunately, unsentimental bankers and competitor airlines don’t think that way.
I repeat my viewpoint that the developments in MAS are just diversionary red herrings floated by certain parties to hide the fact that
– Malaysia has no rational national aviation policy
– Malaysia Airports has failed to make KLIA the preferred air hub in the region
– that there are no policies in place to make Malaysia a preferred location for multinational corporations to site their regional HQs or operations centres.
Hence the sound and fury over Tony Fernandes and AirAsia.
Why is there no sound and fury about how MAS has failed to compete effectively against the likes of SIA (an erstwhile sibling born out MSA), Emirates, Cathay Pacific etc?
Nope, it’s all about irrational fury and sound bites galore, with little or no logic behind them!
I dont know who u r working. Perhaps u cld be one of the con sultan or a blood sucking banker! You call all of us delusional but in reality u r the one appears to be!
When MAS is attached with so many parasites ever since TR days, crony businesses sucking blood from MAS n so many other restrictions the vested parties subject MAS to… Despite all of this, they hv done commendably.
No doubt that there is still lot of room 4 improvement among MAS staff in terms of improving efficiency etc., but a lot of those blame lie with those ppl imported frm strange places straight to senior posts!
Anonymous, u hv highlighted a very important point. The cons r there just like insurance for the incompetent senior execs who can always blame the cons if anything goes wrong! I bet you these consultants from TMI, EY n PWC know nothing compared to the industry knowledge possessed within MAS. These cons wld just google to get some information before meetings n then, they wld call themselves con sultans specialising in aviation! These con sultans are only clever in coming up with some colorful PowerPoint presentations n coining some weird terminologies.
If MAS staff were to be allowed to gain their self-confidence, they can do a far better job then these con sultans but sadly, they were never allowed to have!
Mohamed, I think that Olek Skligannon is working for that Pariah Red Indian. Otherwise he wouldn’t writing this way. He has been praising the Pariah to the hilt. When pouted certain thing he will shift the goal posts. Don’t our time with people like that.
He is wearing blinkers; He can’t how the Pariah is screwing MAS.
Heard that AJ is going to resign today, is it true?
cakap banyak tak guna…..semua orang kena buat kerja….nak tau apa UNION dah buat JOM join UNION…..risk your life, risk your job and risk your family….come on JOIN UNION saper yang cakap banyak tuuu……AKU CABAR!!!!!!!!!!!! Assuming rakyat kebanyakan yang perihatin is the EXCO of MASEU,
1. Your ‘gentlemen challenge’ is not timely, people are on the latest thread/topic. Ironically ‘GENTLEmen’ shall not display ‘gangster’ approach.
2. The real challenge is when one is willing to improve beyond usual efforts and considering critics positively – particularly in this critical time.
3. No news from EXCO, members do not know your plan – how to support? We are aware of things through YB WCK blog more than MASEU leaders. Tell me when will be the next picket or next VIP meetings or tell me what kind of pills that you are addicted?
4. Members expecting all EXCO are not bacul, they are claiming themselves as charismatic leaders, helpful (position on volunteer basis) and most importantly resourceful. EXCO are the frontline fighters, members behind are not bacul but we are meant to be there.
5. Committed EXCO will answer questions intuitively, not HAMPUTively.
You may communicate with me through email provided above (19 Feb), we should not open any pekung to the whole world. Please be reminded to focus on the real ‘enemy’ and at the same time email me the answers of my ‘accusations’ above (16 Feb). Let us prihatin with the issues.
on another not, intuitively is not the case, as long as you deliver the message it is considered enough in this era of technology. Intuitively only works for people who comments with brain and brave. Not only giving a comment and do nothing. In a hope that EXCO will die for them. Come on man, EXCO is representative that you member chose. It is how it reflects the UNION. Dont try to be smart here because you are not smart enough to pursue. Nevertheless, if you really think that you are smarter dan EXCO, then please come forward help the UNIONS show you intuitive POWER. I urge YOU KUNYIT HIDUP.
“In a hope that EXCO will die for them.”
Inadvertently admitting that the EXCO will die for themselves? Are you still on pills?
After your ‘hangover’, do email and then meet me.
