I hope 2011 will be less politicking that we have seen from 2008. Hopeful no more bullshit and lets get on with the job doing work for a better country and not to better some people interests.

  2. Tiger vs Buaya

Either 2011 will LESS policking , we not yet know ( afterall PR/BN all
have bad habits ) , anyway we already face 2 big problems by
    Tiger ( BN ) vs PR ( buaya )

This is about Tiger ( give us some benefit ) want makan Rabbit /// PETALING JAYA: Bus passengers at the new Integrated Transportation Terminal Bandar Tasik Selatan (ITT-BTS) may have to pay a surcharge for their tickets.

Pan Malaysian Bus Operators Association (PMBOA) president Datuk Ashfar Ali said the cost of operating from the terminal was four times higher than at other terminals, including Puduraya.

“Each bus is being charged RM10 per entry and RM10 per exit. We are also charged RM1 per passenger for their tickets. It comes up to RM60 per bus per trip,” he told The Star.

He said the terminal’s operator Maju TMAS (Terminal Management and Services) had insisted that bus companies use its computerised ticketing system although they have their own system online.

The ITT-BTS does not have individual counters for each bus operator, which some say would curb the tout problem rampant at Puduraya and the temporary terminal in Bukit Jalil.

Ashfar dismissed this, saying that touts operated outside bus terminals and the problem could be solved
with strict enforcement by the authorities.

As the ticketing system of the terminal and the bus companies were not linked, Ashfar was concerned that this
might lead to an overlap in ticket sales.

“If it is not solved before the Chinese New Year rush, the problem will become very messy. Not only are the operators confused but the passengers, too,” he said.

Currently, passengers who buy their seats online have to go to the terminal’s counter for their coupons.

He said even the passengers bought their tickets at the coun- ter or online, the bus companies would be charged RM1 for each customer.

“Somebody has to bear the cost. We can impose a surcharge on the passengers,” he said, adding that
Maju TMAS had said the fees were to provide better facilities for passengers.

While Ashfar welcomed improved passenger experience, he said the excuse was not valid as the RM570mil
terminal was developed using taxpayers’ money and not private funds.

This is about buaya ( PR ) ( lagi worst , no benefit ) mahu makan Rabbit

PETALING JAYA: Shoppers throughout the country will now have to pay 20 sen for each plastic bag when they shop at hypermarkets, supermarkets and Petronas service stations on Saturdays.

The move, which is already in force in Selangor and introduced to reduce the eight billion plastic bags used each year in Malaysia, caught many shoppers by surprise.

    Other developments:

    > The sum charged will go to a special fund which will benefit the environment and community;

    > Shoppers in Penang will have to pay for their bags in these outlets every day; and

    > Plastic industry players in Penang have expressed unhappiness, vowing to distribute 30,000 free bags in defiance of the move.

Our opinion : what is the name of the special Fund ( willl the account published ? ) . Lagi satu Pakatan Rubbish idea .

If you see Green campaign in Hong Kong , is about encourange
people use LESS plastics ( reduce cost of wastage ) , mana ada sampai tell people cannot use plastics . Kindly note that our assessment fee we pay include the cost of councilor handling sampah ? Now they want to save the cost of handling sampah . As summary , just say our MP Selangor and CM penang is not Green , but Gila . Afterall CM Penang Lim Guan Eng mana ada makan char keuy teow in street , he no need to pakai plastics , doesnt mean everybody no need to pakai plastics .

  3. Raj Danau Kota

Happy New Year to you and family too. Lets hope that we have a better 2011 with less politicking and act in constructive manner.

  4. Year 2011 Hope

Better transport system, affordable housing in 2011?

The MRT system should integrate seamlesly with other existing modes of transport such as the KL monorail . With petrol prices expected to go up further with the lowering of government fuel subsidy in the coming days,
having a world-class public transport system that is operated efficiently will be a big boost to the liveability of our cities including Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya and Shah Alam. In order for the MRT project to
be a big success, the cost should be kept down so that its operation will not be over-commercialised and profit oriented.
The fares should be kept affordable for the common folks in order to ensure it will be widely used.

Cities like George Town, Malacca and Johor Baru are also in need of much better public transport system to move forward.

The type of house built must balance , some afford to pay RM 1 million house , some still have probelm even the house
is about RM 200.000 ( consider loan instalment will about RM 800-RM900 per month ) . In this case , BLR also a factor
Last year , most bank without inform customer with letter that BLR has increase almost three times to 6.3 % .
Year 2011 , should be 2 type of BLR .
One Lower BLR for low and middle income income .
. It would even better if Govt has
1% reduce in Bank corporate tax , and the 1% tax will credit to everybody
housing loan below RM 200,000 .

Although we will vote Consensus Bebas , we still hope BN will do it
    to prevent PR takeover Putrajaya

Regarding Goverment want to lower subsidy , it will be better each time reduce 2% petrol subsidy , 1% subsidy must increase
for food matters . It will be better if government have plan to subsidy
some food rental who willing to cut down FOOD prices .
Yang want to naik FOOD prices , tak payah-lah

  5. Sri Rampai LRT

The Sri Rampai Light Rail Transit (LRT) station (KJ4), located between the Wangsa Maju and Setiawangsa stations on the Kelana Jaya line, was officially opened in a ceremony officiated by the chairman of Land Public Transport Commission, Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar on December 29.

The construction of the station begun in 1996 and was halted a year later due to delayed development and low population in the area. However, construction resumed in September 2008 and completed in early December 2010.

For the convenience of the public, RapidKL provides two bus services to the Sri Rampai station –
U25 bus route extended from Seksyen 10 Wangsa Maju to Lebuh Ampang with 15 to 20 minutes interval and
T302 bus route from Wangsa Maju LRT Station Berkeliling to Sri Rampai station with 25 minutes interval.

With the opening of the station, the Kelana Jaya LRT Line alignment is now complete.

It will be better YB follow up this issue every quarterly , March 2011 , June 2011 to let public know LRT and bus services up to which level ( bagus , need improvement , no ok ? ) , if satisfied
may be then every half-yearly .

And this new LRT station rate ada 1 Malaysia ” Rakyat didahulukan ” ?

  6. More Rich One Tell The Not Enough Rich One

More than 160 students were barred from entering their classrooms at an international school in Jalan Ampang on Monday because their parents had apparently failed to pay the school fees on time.

The students – over 100 primary school pupils and 60 secondary school students – were “detained” at the library and the arts room, respectively, from 8am till lunchtime on the first day of school.

We were only told that we would get a 20% discount if we pay before Nov 30,” she said.

After paying the school fees of her children, aged 12 and 14, the parent was shocked when she was asked to pay an additional 20% as penalty for late payment.

School fees for a student in the international school cost up to RM3,500 per semester.

Parents expressed unhappiness over their children’s detention.

Our opinion : Why the parents compaint ? Ins’t the rich one told the poor one , no money no education
Oh yah it is time for the more rich one tell the less rich one , no enough money , also no education
