Questions Time, 18 December 2008

Minister of Home Affairs refused to provide answers for “Total police reports lodged in Wangsa Maju for each year since 2000.”

Note:

The Minister of Home Affairs was not answering the question posted in this blog. He was merely sating 173 cases for July 2008 as compared to 172 for the same period in 2007 – an increase of 1 cases. My questions are: Total police reports lodged for each year since 2000. The Minister refused to provide the cases reported to Wangsa Maju Police Station since 2000 up to 31 Julai 2008.

It is a wishy- washy answer to say the least. I shall pursue this matter again in the next Parliamentary Session, which will be around February 2009.

Inilah jawapan lemah sekali.

YB, I’m most impressed by the swiftness this posting is made, which is on the same day the reply was made to Gladys here., an attempted car hijack victim in Section 4 Wangsa Maju.

It’s rather unsettling that robbery and car hijacks are still rampant in Wangsa Maju. If lack of manpower, PDRM should do some planning and cut down on the outrider escort services and security services being rendered to government and government-related VIPS. Clearly, the priority on keeping this country safe is not there. Just this evening, despite caught in heavy traffic jam in Jalan Tun Razak, cars around me were forced to dangerously move to the side to clear the way for a convoy of 3 VIP cars. An additional lane was indeed forced through by the traffic police outriders.

The first vehicle in this convoy was a Porsche Cayenne with the number plate ‘TM1’.

Read in Suara Keadilan that Badawi replied DAP’s Liew Chen Tong that the tax payers foot RM16,000 a day for his official residence’s rental to Putrajaya Holdings for a lovely annual rental of RM6million. “Change your lifestyle” Najib’s DPM official residence is costing a more economical annual rent of RM4.5million per year.

Excuse me while I go to puke again….I ain’t been drinking

In the meantime, as the finance minister, Change Your Lifestyle feel that IJN is too expensive to foot by tax payers’ money and happy in principle to let Sime Darby takes over this national duty at a little profit. Then graciously Change Your Lifestyle proved his flexibility with principles if there was one in the first place. So back to the old “create a crises and solve the crises”. Could have saved the paper and ink for something better like advertising the Great Singapore Sale.

By the way, I got nothing against Slime Darby. Really. Really I don’t.
