The convincing outcome of the recent Permatang Pauh by-election had confirmed once and for all that the rakyat were not as dumb as some of our most out-of-touch and out-of-date politicians would like us to believe.
Their worst mistake was to underestimate the seemingly simple folks and think they were easy meat for their crude propaganda, insulting rhetorics and corrupt offerings. Try as hard as they may, they were ultimately victims of their own follies.
Those who came to want to “bury” YBhg Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim were the ones who finally got buried.
Those who thought they could exploit sodomy as a silver bullet were the ones who got shot in their own buttocks.
Those who believed they could swear to victory were the ones who swore for their own ultimate downfall.
All in all, there were more miss-steps than smart strategies. More foolishness than cleverness….
So the question for this week is:
Should the voice of the people of Permatang Pauh be taken as the command that had spoken loud and clear against the policies of the father-in-law as well as the son-in-law … and accepted as a definitive call for the father-in-law, the Prime Minister, to gracefully resign?

Soalan Mingguan Wakil Rakyat Anda #24
I am not sure about the voters in Johor, Pahang, Perlis, N Sembilan, Melaka, Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak who voted overwhelmingly for BN during GE12.
I believe that folks in the rural areas there do not have the same level of access to information alternate to MSM and they are in a comfort zone immuned from the urban life pressure, especially those in oil palm sectors.
The question is too mild. PP is a mandate to remove the govt entirely, at all cost! I hope people understand the meaning of ‘at all cost’. It means whatever is takes to remove the govt at whatever the cost to the exchequer.
Please pass this message on to Anwar.
who should accept the big loss at PP by resigning.. he and his ‘friend’ najib!
Hello sir, long time no see. I was your translator once, remember? 😀
I would like to comment on the recent protest of avril lavigne’s concert by PAS youths.
Thanks to them, the 15000 would be registered voters now see PAS as a a true narrow minded and extremist political party that strives to oppress the people with so called strict moral codes.
I have received any people counter-protesting that they won’t vote for PAS anymore and even PR should they registered as the voter in the future, and not all of them are from KL only, they are from all the states.
YB, you must help us to send a message to say No to such counter-productive acts done by PAS. Thanks to Avril’s rock concert I saw many bumiputras dapat rezeki by selling food and souvenirs, not to mention the boosting of tourism, taxi drivers being happy, and the amount of stress relieved from the recent barrage of negative news.
Rosli said Perak will fall on 31st August to BN….now I wonder what’s the latest development while the nation holds it breath for another 16 days……….
YB, pada bulan puasa ini saya ingin mengucapkan selamat berpuasa kepada umat islam di malaysia ini dan seluruh dunia.
I am not siding any body but I think it’s not fair to say father in law and son in law in BN when you have husband, wife and daughter in PKR and fathers and son in DAP….!!
Sdr Wee
However, tentang pengantinya saya dengan ikhlas was was (maaf YB) dengan Anwar ni. Bila jadi PM nanti dia terpaksa menjurus ke PAS dan ABIM ke? DAP ke? Ketuanan rakyat ke? Take over UMNO ke?
Sebab track recordnya dari tahun 69 bila saya jumpa dia for the first time dia lain.Dalam ABIM and WAMY dia lain. Bila masuk Govt dan jadi Ketua Pemuda UMNO dia lain dan bila jadi TPM dia bertambah lain. Dan sekarang ni dia sudah lain terus.Jadi saya tak kenal doh siapa Anwar ni? Ibaratnya macam Michael Jackson maso kecik muka lain, kemudian hidung jadi lain tiap2 tahun dan sekarang ni dah jadi ore puteh pulak?
Having said all that, Malaysia needs a new and more capable PM.
observer,
please don’t look at blood line only and automatically assume it is bad. Rather, we look at what was done and what’s their stand.
Sure Lim Guan Eng was accused of getting easier promotion within DAP but what did he do and what price he paid for? 2 ISA terms and one was for a Malay girl.
Sure, Nurul daugther of Anwar got high ranks in PKR due to waves of sympathy and anger towards what happened to his dad but base on her blog, you can hardly accused of it being a bimbo blog, eh?
Najib, the DPM, has a rather smooth ascent in his political career and his heritage surely is an advantage but what’s his contribution? I can remember his remarks in 1987 which caused some excitment, he bought some submarines at a slightly high price, he told newspapers that wakil rakyat cannot vote according to their conscience.
KJ, nearly became Anwar’s son in law but looking at his contribution thus far, what can we remember? some racially inclined statement, some intriguing commercial transactions,
bravely submitting a memo to a certain powerful US lady while being covered by a mob of supporters and attracted the attention of a rather controversial blogger.
I prefer to judge a person by his opinion, actions and deeds. Blood line can play a factor but by no means a decisive factor.
Paolo Maldini played under his dad Caeser Maldini in the Italy national football team, Frank Lampard Senior was the coach at West Ham when Frank Lampard Jr broke through and who can dispute the 2 off-springs’ standing in sport?
We can argue until we turn blue or until ‘the cow come home’ but then what benefit would that be for the people ? Are we using the PP mandate as a yardstick for telling the current govt to step aside ? Not as yet as the govt are elected by the other majority and still holds the power.
Having said that, I’m for DSAI to take over if he has the number to join him as we cannot permit this nation’s economy to continue spiralling down by giving them another 4 years. That would be totally disastrous and by that time the amount plundered would have been irreversible.
There is nothing immoral in politics for that if the number is in hand as saving the nation from disaster is far better than all the moral arguments put together. I say, just go for it and how bad can an alternate govt be after having tasted 51 years
of ammo rule ? The risk should be lesser with fine check & balance from other component parties and we the people are more enlighten now with the RIGHT news not the MSMs though !
