THE NEW ECONOMIC POLICY – “NEP”
THE NEW DEVELOPMENT POLICY – “NDP”
I fully support the New Economic Policy (NEP), which was introduced by the BN Government in 1971 to promote growth with equity with the objective of fostering national unity among the various races. The main noble objectives of NEP were:
1. To reduce and eventually eradicate poverty by raising income levels and increasing employment opportunities for all Malaysians, irrespective of race; and
2. Accelerate the process of restructuring Malaysian society to correct economic imbalances so as to reduce and eventually eliminate the identification of race with economic function.
The NEP was supposed to have expired in 1991 (after 20 years). However, the above objectives have not been strictly adhered to by the BN government.
The NEP recognized that the restructuring of society to correct imbalances was to be achieved by undertaking “within the context of a rapidly growing economy which offers increasing opportunities for all Malaysians. This was considered essential for ensuring that the distribution of income, employment and ownership would be implemented smoothly, without making any particular group feel a sense of loss or deprivation.
Obviously, the NEP has failed miserably because less than 10% of the Bumiputras benefited from the NEP. To put it bluntly, only the UMNOputras or those connected directly or indirectly to the UMNOputras are the beneficiaries of the NEP.
In 1991, after a good 20 years the BN government had failed to eradicate poverty as intended under the NEP, the BN Government had to come out with another policy called the New Development Policy (NDP), which was actually an extension of the NEP. The NDP was supposed to build upon the so-called achievements during the NEP (i.e. 1971 – 1991) “to accelerate the process of eradicating poverty and restructuring society so as to correct social and economic imbalances”.
According to the spirit of NDP, “National unity remains the ultimate goal of socio-economic development because of a united society is fundamental to the promotion of social and political stability and sustained development.”
The NDP further stressed that “Development policies and strategies under the NDP take cognizance of the diversities of Malaysians – ethnic, linguistic, cultural and religious as well as regional – so that harmonious, tolerant and dynamic society could progressively created.”
It is also the policy of BN Government that the “NDP will continue with the efforts to correct economic imbalances to create a more just, united, peaceful and prosperous society. To this end, more effective effort will be made to reduce poverty, irrespective of race, as well as to restructure society so as to achieve an equitable distribution in the context of a healthy and sustained economic growth.”
It is most unfortunately that eradication of poverty was never the priority of the BN, especially UMNO, the BN leaders have lost focus and poverty in the Malay community or the Chinese or Indian community for that matter was not eradicated as originally targeted.
In fact, in year 2008, some 27 years after the inception of NEP and 17 years after NDP, the poor Malays, Chinese and Indians remain poorer. The rich and powerful UMNOputras got richer and more powerful. In short, the NEP and NDP have been abused by the UMNOputras at the expense of the ordinary Malays. I would go further to state that the above noble spirits and objectives of the NEP and NDP have been rendered meaningless by the UMNOputras.
We need not go further to illustrate the abused of the NEP and NDP. Just look at these three classic cases below:
i. where a young Malay boy of about 30 years, who was known to be unemployed but with strong political connections with high ranking UMNOputra, was known to have owned RM200 million worth of shares in a company;
ii. the “AP Kings” cases where several hundred thousand of APs were given to a few Malay individuals, who were closely connected to the UMNOputras; and
iii. the late Zakaria Md Deros, who was just a gate keeper for Kerataapi Tanah Melayu, and after joining UMNO he became super rich and he was able to build a “palace” with 21 toilets in Klang without Majlis Perbandaran’s approval.
The lists of the abused of the NEP and NDP by the UMNOputras are inexhaustive.
When it suits the UMNOputras, they we will just wheel out the NEP/NDP and make their battle cry that our Malay brothers and sisters needed to be protected. If one were to carefully examine the current economic cakes and one will come to the conclusion that more than 30% of many economic sectors are dominated by a less than 10% of Malays, who are either UMNOputras or directly or indirectly connected with UMNOputras. For example, 95% of the financial institutions have been owned and controlled by only a few percent of Malays, who are the UMOputras or connected to the UMNOputras.
It is clear that the NEP/NDP have failed totally and the majority of the Malays have now realized that the NEP/NDP have been abused by the UMNOputras to benefit only a handful of politically connected individuals.
Our Malay, Chinese and Indian brothers and sisters have spoken out loud and clear in the recent 2008 12th General Election, which have resulted in the BN losing its 2/3 majority in Parliament and control of Penang, Selangor, Perak, Kedah and Wilayah Persekutuan.
I call upon the BN government to review the NEP/NDP by setting as new condition whereby qualification for assistance under the NEP/NDP is by way of mean test and not based on race. Mean test is the best yard stick to determine whether or not a person is entitled to receive the assistance and benefits under the NEP/NDP and this will no doubt put an instant stop to the abuse of the NEP/NDP by the UMNOputras. Thereafter, we will see the actual eradication of poverty in all communities and real restructuring of Malaysian society to correct the economic imbalances, without making any particular community feel a sense of deprivation.

1. Untuk mengurangkan dan membasmi kemiskinan dengan meningkatkan kadar pendapatan dan menambahkan peluang pekerjaan kepada semua rakyat Malaysia tanpa mengira kaum: dan 2. Mempercepatkan proses penyusunan semula masyarakat Malaysia untuk memperbetulkan ketidakseimbangan ekonomi lalu mengurangkan dan menghapuskan pengenalpastian kaum dalam bidang ekonomi.
DEB yang sepatutnya berakhir pada tahun 1991 (selepas 20 tahun). Bagaimanapun,objektif di atas tidak dipatuhi secara berkesan oleh kerajaan BN.
DEB diperkenalkan untuk penyusunan semula masyarakat dalam usaha memperbetulkan keseimbangan agar boleh tercapai dengan menekankan konteks pertumbuhan ekonomi yang pesat, menawarkan peluang yang lebih banyak kepada semua rakyat Malaysia. Ia mengambilkira dengan memastikan bahawa pembahagian pendapaan, pekerjaan dan hak pemilikkan dilaksanakan secara lancar tanpa mewujudkan kumpulan-kumpulan tertentu yang terasa kehilangan atau terpinggir.
Ternyata, DEB telah gagal kerana kurang daripada 10% kaum Bumiputra yang mendapat faedah daripadanya. Tanpa selindung lagi, hanya UMNOputra atau sesiapa yang mempunyai kaitan langsung atau tidak langsung dengan UMNOputra yang memperolehi faedah DEB.
Pada tahun 1991, selepas 20 tahun, kerajaan BN gagal membasmi kemiskinan seperti yang yang diharapkan di bawah DEB, kerajaan BN memperkenalkan pula dasar lain yang dikenali sebagai Dasar Pembangunan Baru (DPB) yang bertujuan untuk menyambung DEB. DPB sepatutnya digunakan untuk memperolehi pencapaian dalam tempoh DEB (1971-1991) iaitu ‘ mempercepatkan proses pembasmian kemiskinan dan penyusunan semula masyarakat dalam usaha memperseimbangi masyarakat dan ekonomi’.
Di bawah semangat DPB,’Perpaduan nasional kekal sebagai matlamat utama dalam pembangunan social-ekonomi kerana perpaduan masyarakat adalah untuk meningkatkan kestabilan social dan politik serta mengekalkan pembangunan.’
DPB seterusnya menekankan bahawa ‘Dasar pembangunan dan strategi di bawah DPB mengambil kira kepelbagaian antara rakyat Malaysia – etnik, bahasa, kebudayaan dan agama di samping kedudukan daerah – agar masyarakat yang berharmoni, toleransi dan dinamik makin dapat diwujudkan.
Ia juga menjadi dasar kerajaan BN bahawa ‘ DPB akan diteruskan dalam usaha memperbetulkan keseimbangan ekonomi agar melahirkan masyarakat yang adil, bersatupadu, aman dan makmur. Hasilnya, usaha lebih berkesan akan dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangkan kemiskinan, tanpa mengira kaum, di samping menyusun semula masyarakat dan membolehkan pencapaian kesamarataan pembahagian dalam konteks pertumbuhan ekonomi yang sihat dan kekal.
Adalah malang sekali bahawa usaha pembasmian kemsikinan tidak pernah menjadi keutamaan bagi BN, terutama sekali UMNO, pucuk pimpinan BN yang hilang focus dan kemiskinan dalam masyarakat Melayu, Cina atau India dalam soal ini tidak pernah dibasmikan seperti yang disasarkan pada asalnya.
Malahan, pada tahun 2008, 27 tahun selepas perlaksanaan DEB dan 17 tahun selepas DPB, masyarakat kaum Melayu, Cina dan India yang miskin tetap hidup dalam keadaan miskin. UMNOputra yang kaya menjadi lebih kaya dan berkuasa. Dalam tempoh yang singkat, DEB dan DPB telah disalahgunakan oleh UMNOputra. Saya akan membuat kenyataan mengenai objektif dan semangat DEB dan DPB ini yang tidak mendatangkan pengertian bagi UMNOputra.
Kita tidak perlu menjelaskan dengan lebih lanjut mengenai penyalahgunaan DEB dan DPB. Tetapi hanya perlu melihat pada tiga kes di bawah:
1. Seorang anak Melayu yang berusia lebih kurang 30 tahun yang dikatakan mempunyai hubungan rapat dengan dunia politik dan mempunyai ranking tinggi dalam UMNOputra telah berjaya memiliki RM200 juta saham dalam sebuah syarikat;
2. Kes ‘AP King’ yang telah memberikan ratusan ribu AP kepada beberapa individu Melayu yang mempunyai hubungan rapat dengan UMNOputra; dan
3. Allahyarham Zakaria Md Deros, yang pernah menjadi ‘penjaga pagar’ Kereta Api Tanah Melayu, dan kemudian menyertai UMNO menjadi kaya raya dan mampu membina ‘istana’ yang mengandungi 21 buah tandas di Klang tanpa persetujuan Majlis Perbandaran.
Senarai penyalahgunan DEB dan DPB oleh UMNOputra cukup menyeluruh.
Apabila aduan dikemukakan kepada UMNOputra, mereka akan cuba berdolak dalih kononnya DEB/DPB akan terus mereka perjuangkan demi melindungi keperluan kaum Melayu. Melihat dengan teliti pembahagian ekonomi terkini akan mendapati bahawa lebih 30% dalam sector ekonomi adalah didominasi oleh kurang daripada 10% kaum Melayu yang sama mempunyai kaitan langsung atau tidak langsung dengan UMNOputra. Sebagai contoh, 95% daripda insititusi kewangan telah dimiliki dan dikuasai oleh hanya beberapa peratus kaum Melayu yang terdiri daripada UMNOputra atau mempunyai kaitan rapat dengan UMNOputra.
Ini adalah jelas bahawa DEB/DPB telah gagal sepenuhnya dan majoriti daripada kaum Melayu kini telah sedari DEB/DPB telah disalahgunakan oleh UMNOputra yang hanya mendatangkan faedah kepada individu-individu yang mempunyai kaitan langsung dengan politik.
Kaum Melayu, Cina dan India telah bersuara langtang dan jelas dalam pilihan raya umum ke 12 tahun 2008 kali ini yang menunjukkan BN kalah 2/3 majoriti dalam Parilimen dan gagal mengekalkan pemerintahaan di Pulau Pinang, Selangor, Perak, Kedah dan Wilayah Persekutuan.
Saya menggesa kerajaan BN agar merombak semula DEB/DPB dengan menetapkan syarat baru mengenai kelayakan memberi bantuan di bawah DEB/DPB adalah berdasarkan keperluan dan bukan berasaskan kaum. Keperluan adalah ukuran yang paling baik untuk menentukan sama ada seseorang itu berhak menerima bantuan dan faedah di bawah dasar ini. Dan tidak dinafikan ia perlu dihentikan segera mengenai penyalahgunaan UMNOputra ke atas DEB/DPB ini. Hasilnya, kita akan dapat melihat pembasmian kemiskinan yang sebenar dalam semua peringkat masyarakat kita dan penyusunan semula Masyarakat Malaysia yang sebetul-betulnya dalam mengimbangi ekonomi tanpa menyebabkan kaum-kaum yang tertentu terasa terpinggir.

我完全支持國陣政府於1971年推行，以促進各族公平發展及國民團結的新經濟政策。這些崇高的目標概括：
1通過提高全民收入、增加就業機會來降低、繼而消除貧窮；

新經濟政策認同要重組社會以消除失衡，可以通過“迅速發展經濟以提供更多機會予全民”的策略。這是為了確保財富、就業機會以及擁有權可以公平分配，不造成任何種族有被剝削的失落感。 很明顯的，新經濟政策慘痛失敗，僅有少于十巴仙的土著從中受惠。說得更直接一些，唯有“巫統權貴”以及有裙帶關係者才是新經濟政策的受益者。
至直1991年，經過20年的歲月，國陣在沒有履行消除貧窮的目標之際，而又推出了和新經濟政策如出一轍的“新發展政策”。 “新發展政策”原為建立於新經濟政策的成功基礎上──加速消除貧窮及重組社會以調整社會及經濟失衡問題。
根據新發展政策的精神，“全民團結依然是社會經濟發展的終極目標，因為一個團結的社會是促進社會及政治穩定及永續發展的基石。
新發展政策繼而強調“新發展政策包容大馬人民的差異──種族、語言、文化、宗教以及區域─以建造和諧、寬容及具活力的社會。
國陣的政策亦認同新發展政策繼續努力于調整經濟失衡以建立一個公正、和平及繁榮的社會。政府會更有效地，不分種族以減低貧窮，重組社會，在穩健及持續的經濟發展中達致財富公平分配。
非常遺憾的，消除貧窮並非是國陣首要的事，尤其是巫統及國陣領袖已分心，原本要為巫裔、印裔或華裔消除貧窮的目標也不復存在。
其實在2008年, 即新經濟政策推行了 27 年及新發展政策實施了17年的當兒，原本貧窮的馬來人、華人及印度人更窮了；而聚財富權利於一身的巫統權貴更甚於過去。簡短來說，新經濟政策及新發展政策被巫統權貴濫用而殃及一般的馬來人。說得更嚴重一些，新經濟政策及新發展政策的崇高精神與目標已被巫統權貴搞得蕩然無存。
新經濟政策及新發展政策遭濫之事毋須贅言，請看以三個典型例子：
1.據知，一個30歲的無業馬來青年因和巫統權貴有政治關係而坐擁價值兩億令吉的公司股票。
2.在“AP 王”的個案，數以萬計的AP只分發給數位和巫統權貴有關係的馬來人。
3.本是大馬鐵道局看守人的已故查卡利惹加入巫統後飛黃騰達，在沒有獲得巴生議會批準下建造一座有21間廁所的“王宮”
新經濟政策及新發展政策被濫用的例子數之不清。
當情況利於巫統權貴時，他們會祭出新經濟政策並吶喊說馬來同胞需要保護。如果細心觀察當前經濟蛋糕，你會發現超過30%的經濟領域控制在10%巫統權貴的手中。同樣的，這一小撮人也控制了95%的金融機構。
顯然的，新經濟政策及新發展政策徹底失敗，許多馬來人認清了這兩項政策被巫統權貴濫用，而受益者僅是和權貴有裙帶關係者。
巫裔、華裔及印裔兄弟姐妹在剛過的大選中嗆聲，因而導致國陣在國會失三分二多數議席，也同時失去檳城、吉打、雪州、霹靂及聯邦直轄區的控制權。
在此，我呼吁國陣重新檢討新經濟政策及新發展政策，讓受惠資格取決于“經濟能力測試”，而非以種族作考量。“經濟能力測試”是最好的準繩，它確定一個人是否應該在新經濟政策及新發展政策下獲得資助。這樣一來，這兩項政策不再被巫統貴權濫用。我們將看到所有族群的貧窮得以消除，而非讓某一族群感到被剝削。

YB WeeI am a Malay and I don’t get any or just very little benefit from the NEP or NDP. You are right that only the UMNOputras are getting the benefits under the NEP/NDP. The UMNO has been lying to the Malays, Chinese, Indian and others for the past 27 years and still lying. So the UMNO and BN got what they were asking for in the 2008 General Elections. The UMNOPUTRAS have been raping the country wealth for their own benefits. When the people reject them in the General Elections, KLhairy and company try to demostracted in support of the NEP/NDP to stir up racial hatred not to defend the Malays but the UMNOPUTRAS. Khairy and company will never get the support of the Malays.All Malaysians have taught them a very good lesson. Good for you YB Wee to explain to the people. It is high time that Malaysians must know the truth that NEP does not benefit the majority of the Malay.
Your press statement is absolutely spot on. Only the UMNOputras have benefitted from the NEP. Only a very small percentage of the Malays got the benefit. So other races got nothing because UMNO/BN only interested in restructuring of society and not eradicating poverty. Thats why we can see poverty in every community. NEP is for UMNOputras not for other Malaysians. They can no longer lie to the Malays anymore. There are so many poor Malays, Indians and Chinese.BN (UMNO) was never interested in eradicating poverty sincerely. Just go to the kampung or the fringe of KL and you can see there are so many poor Malays.We should have a mean test for the NEP otherwise we will never reached the target set because of the abused by the UMNOPUTRAS. I would like to express my sincerest thank to all the visitors and comments in my blog. I find the level of understand of politics in this country has reached a different height after 8th March. A good progress for the country. We began to see the sudden change of not only the attitude of political leaders but also the attitude of the new editors and sub-editors. Of course, some of the editors or people in the newsroom have move back to their comfortable state of slumber. Let them carry on with their inertia and they will eventually discover one day that they are no longer relevant in our society.We, the readers of newspapers, must be critical of what we read and do not allow them to dish out propaganda and rubbish to us like what we have seen during every elections. Fortunately, during this General Elections the voters have rejected those obvious propaganda of the worst kinds and voted for change.It must always be in the forefront of our minds that newspapers must play their ultimate role of providing accurate news and not propaganda. Once they show any semblance of churning out proganda then we, the readers, must exercise our ultimate right by not subscribing to it. We must change our reading habits to reading the alternative news like the blogs (MalaysiaOnLine, Rockybru, Zorro Unmasked, IamAMalaysian and etc), Malaysiakini and the like. Please take note that this press statement (on NEP) of mine was sent to all the newspapers (Chinese, Englsih and Malay) including The Star. Unfortunately, it was blacked out by certain newspapers. They only want members of the public to read the propaganda that they were churning out daily. So beware of their propaganda. We must change this sorry state of affairs and start to make demand that we want an informative newspapers and not proganda. Kita patut tolak DEB dengan secara langsung sahaja, susah payah nak kaji-kaji. DEB sebenarnya memberi keuntungan kepada segelintir orang Melayu iaitu puak dalaman UMNO sahaja. Sebab kegagalan DEB membasmi kemiskinan di kalangan orang Melayu yang ketinggalan sering ditujukan dan dipikul oleh kaum lain terutamanya kaum Cina. Kaum lain sebenarnya tidak merebut ekuiti, penguasan ekonomi, taraf hidup dan sebagainya dari orang Melayu- orang Melayu UMNO sendiri yang telah membuat sedemikian.Bubarkan DEB, tubuhkan dasar baru yang memberi faedah kepada seluruh kalangan rakyat.
YB WeeAbolished NEP as it was severely abused by BN leaders, especially UMNO. We have seen all the abuses by UMNO and yet MCA, Gerakan and MIC leaders were oblivious to all the abuses. The Main Stream Media like NST, Star and others were also oblivious. They are supposed to be our watch dogs but they have obviouslyfailed in their duties. The reason being that we have too many journalists who are mere mercenaries, who are prepared to sell their souls for benefits. Some of these editors live very comfortably and beyond their means. I would like to ask where do they get their ‘extra income’? The lame duck PM has asked Ministers declaring their assets. Then we should have top journalists to declare their assets too. This is the new phenomenom which we should strive for. In Malaysia, corruption is every where because it was the culture encourage by BN leaders, who pay lip service to wiping out corruptions. So journalists, do you agree that your top bosses should also declare their assets?
haha, Yet Ling Beat me to it!aiyaya~~~ i also did translation la….until 3am, then went to sleep, then after finished at this morning, already translated….but seriously Yet ling’s version’s better than mine…..nvm next time la. perhaps you can combine both of our articles and select the best out of them.my version:新經濟政策新發展政策我全力支持由國陣政府在1971年所實施的新經濟政策(NEP)﹐ 作為一個平均分配經濟方案來推行國家種族間的團結為宗旨。NEP的主要目標為﹕1。在不分種族的情況下﹐以增加所有馬來西亞人民收入和就業機會來減少或消除貧窮。 2。 加速重組馬來西亞社會結構以糾正經濟不平等情況﹐以能夠消除由經濟角色的差異來區分不同種族。新經濟政策應該已經在1991年時正式停止(20年後)。 但是﹐上述兩項目標並沒有被國陣政府嚴格跟隨。新經濟政策認同必需以能夠開放更多機會於所有馬來西亞人民的快速成長經濟來達到社會重組﹐以便能消滅經濟成就不平等現象。這在當時是被認定為了順利重新分配財富的重要一環﹐ 以不讓任何一方覺得他們被削奪權益。很顯然的﹐NEP徹底的失敗了。因為只有少過10巴仙的土著能真正地從NEP受惠。說難聽一點﹐只有那些巫統高層人員﹐和那些間接或直接與他們有關係者是NEP的實質受益人。1991年﹐ 當國陣政府花了20年都沒辦法以NEP來消除貧窮時﹐國陣又推出另一個政策叫[新發展政策] (NDP)﹐ 實則為NEP的延續。NDP是以NEP的成果為本 (1991-1971年)﹐來[加速消滅貧窮的步伐﹐以更正社會和經濟的不平等現象]。以NDP的精神來說﹐ [以國民團結作為一個社會經濟發展的最終目標﹐因為一個團結一致的國家社會是為推動社會繁榮和政治穩定兼穩健發展之根本]。NDP又強調 [NDP之發展策略認同和尊重馬來西亞之不同族群﹐語言﹐文化和宗教和人民居住地區以能積極成立一個和諧﹐互相容忍和活力的社會]此國陣之政策也提到 [NDP將會繼續努力將經濟不平等情況改正﹐ 來打造一個更加公平﹐團結﹐祥和與昌盛的社會。在現況內﹐以健康和強健經濟成長之大前提下﹐更多有效的消滅貧窮方案將會不分種族實行以便能夠重組社會和達致財富平等分配]。但是很不幸的﹐消滅貧窮一直以來並非國陣﹐尤其是巫統的優先任務。國陣政治領袖們已經模糊了他們的焦點﹐然後馬來人﹐華人以及印度人的窮困問題一直沒有像當初所期望那樣獲得圓滿解決。事實上﹐在2008年時﹐當NDP已經實行了17年了的時候﹐窮苦的馬來人﹐華人和印度人更為窮苦﹐而那些大權在握的巫統成員變得更加富有和有權。簡單來說﹐巫統高層已經濫用NEP和NDP到犧牲普通馬來族老百姓的權益。我敢說上述NEP和NDP所持之遠大理想已被那些巫統黨員弄得毫無意義可言。我們無須對NEP或NDP的濫用行為過於著墨。只需看看下列三個經典例子﹕當一個年僅30歲的失業馬來小伙子倚仗他與巫統高層的政治關係﹐獲得了某間公司總值二億令吉的股票。回顧當年[AP事件]時﹐好幾十萬張汽車進口特別准證被少數與巫統高層有關係的馬來企業家獲得。已故 查卡利亞 莫哈末 德洛斯﹐之前只是馬來亞鐵道公司的看門員﹐當他加入了巫統後﹐身價頓時暴漲﹐還有能力在巴生建造一棟擁有21間廁所﹐ 壓根兒沒經過市議會批准的豪宅。巫統高層濫用NEP和NDP的案例真是不勝枚舉。當情況許可時﹐那些巫統高層就會把NEP/NDP搬出來然後叫囂說我們的馬來同胞必需被保護。但如果我們仔細檢查現今經濟蛋糕的話﹐我們可以得出一個結論﹐就是超過30巴仙的經濟領域被僅僅少過10巴仙的馬來人所控制﹐也就是那些和巫統高層有直接或間接關係的人士。其中一個例子就是高達95巴仙的商業機構被少數巫統黨員或他們的朋黨所控制。已經知道的是﹐ NEP/NDP已經完全失敗﹐大多數馬來人已明白NEP/NDP被巫統所濫用來利益自己和朋黨。我們的馬來﹐華裔和印度同胞已經在最近的2008年第十二屆全國大選大聲說出了他們的感受﹐導致國陣失去了三分之二的國會議席和檳城﹐雪蘭莪﹐霹靂﹐吉打和聯邦直轄區的州會控制權。我呼籲國陣政府能夠不以種族主義方式﹐而是公正評估方式申請幫助條件來檢討NEP/NDP。公正評估乃是決定一個人有沒有資格來獲得NEP/NDP的協助。不可否認﹐這樣的措施將會有效的停止巫統高層繼續濫用該政策。而我們從現在開始才能夠看到在不讓任何一方感到自身權益被剝奪的情況下﹐達到真正的消滅貧窮﹐真正的馬來西亞社會重組以及有效的修正經濟不平等情況為目的。黃朱強
MUKA DEPAN UTUSAN MALAYSIA HARI INI- Sebanyak 25 pertubuhan dan badan amal Melayu/Islam sepakat menubuhkan Barisan Bertindak Perpaduan Melayu (BBPM) yang akan memainkan peranan menyatukan orang Melayu tanpa mengira fahaman politik demi menjaga kepentingan bangsa dan memelihara kesucian agama Islam.Kita nak tanya apakah kepentingan orang Melayu telah tercalar? Apakah kesucian agama Islam telah tercemar?Penubuhan barisan bertindak ini sebenarnya sia-sia dan hanya mahu cari publisiti murahan sahaja. Apakah kekalahan teruk oleh UMNO dalam pilihan raya umum lalu telah menyebabkan orang Melayu telah berpecah? Apakah kemenangan pembangkang telah menggugat perpaduan Melayu di negara kita? Dalam mesej yang disampaikan dalam pilihan raya umum lalu telah jelas kepada kita bahawa rakyat telah berjaya menolak UMNO yang mengamalkan dasar penyelewengan wang dan penyalahgunan kuasa. Rakyat inginkan sebuah parti yang mampu membela semua kaum dengan adil dan saksama. Sebab itulah mereka pilih pembangkang yang ingin membina negara Malaysia lebih bersatu padu dan harmoni.Kalau barisan bertindak ini inginkan melakukan kerja yang lebih mulia dan dihormati, adalah lebih baik mereka membuat gesaan kepada pemimpin-pemimpin UMNO agar lebih bersatupadu terlebih dulu. UMNO kini semakin berpecah. Ku Li sudah mahu cabar Pak Lah. Barisan cabinet Pak Lah telah gugurkan orang kuat seperti Dr. Jamaluddin Jarjis. Pak Lah ambil orang kuat Khairy, iatu Ismail Sabri dalam mengukuhkan kedudukan dalam pemilihan parti akan datang. Bom dalam UMNO akan meletup bila-bila masa sahaja. Orang Melayu akan lebih bersatupadu kalau dasar-dasar kerajaan tidak hanya mementingkan segelintir manusia sahaja dalam UMNO, tetapi adalah seluruh lapisan masyarakat Melayu khususnya, golongan miskin.Itulah yang patut diperbetulkan dalam UMNO dan bukan mengadakan perhimpunan kononnya mahu menyatupadukan kaum Melayu. Kaum Melayu sebenarnya telah bersatupadu dalam pilihan raya umum baru-baru ini kerana telah berjaya merobek penguasaan UMNO yang begitu angkuh dan sombong. Begitu juga dengan MCA dan MIC yang baru sedar daripada lamunan selama ini. Inilah Malaysia Baru yang kita inginkan – rakyat hidup berharmoni, tanpa penyelewengan, tanpa penyalahgunaan kuasa, adil dan saksama.

Saudara Wee,Perjuangan untuk membela rakyat terpinggir dan miskin tidak mengira kaum adalah perjuangan murni yang walau ditentang akan terus bersinar.Stay true to your cause and you will be justly rewarded.Go and meet the poor and the helpless be they malay, chinese, indian what ever and walk the talk. They will send you to the parliament again and again.
NEP with mean test is the best and it will defintely prevent abuses of the UMNOputras.It will also distribute our country wealth fairly and the deserving ones will receive the benefits.This is the only way we can eradicate policy. UMNO/BN never interested in eradicating poverty as enshrined in the NEP. They are only interested in robbing the wealth of thenation for themselves – the UMNOputras. So the coutnry was right in rejecting BN in the recent GE. The nation should be proud of its citizen for taking the right actions to save the nation from these UMNOputra crooks.
The nation had knocked out the BN robbers. The UMNOputras have bled this country wealth for too long. Long live Malaysia.
