MAS to operate three international routes from KK in Dec 2012

In December 2012 MAS to operate three additional international routes from Kota Kinabalu. Yours truly believes that East Malaysians will be pleased with the decisions. MAS should also consider to resume the Bandung and Surabaya routes, which were terminated soon after the inking of the infamous MAS-AirAsia share swap by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the MD of Khazanah. MAS should also commence its Firefly jet services, which was also terminated after the said share swap. (more…)
Malindo Airways is good for consumers

On 10-9-2012 YAB PM Datuk Seri Najib has announced the setting up of a new low cost airline known as Malindo Airways. Malindo Airways will commence operation in May 2013 and be based in KLIA-2. Read in HERE.

The above was the original logo/livery and corporate colour of MAS, when it was established on 1 October 1972.
MAS is founded in 1947 as Malayan Airways. on 1st October 1972, it has changed its name to Malaysian Airline System (MAS). MAS is the nation’s flag carrier which is majority owned by the government of Malaysia. MAS operates flights at its first base in Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and secondary base in Kota Kinabalu, in HERE. (more…)

YB Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz, the chairman of AirAsia X Sdn Bhd. By the way, has AirAsiaX/AirAsia refunded all the airport taxes collected from the un-traveled passengers totalling more than RM6 million?

MAS Board is answerable for the change of MAS livery

Throughout the years, MAS livery/logo has been changed for good reasons and with the approval of the Board and Cabinet.
There is MAS Board meeting this morning at 10:00 am. Hopefully the Board will be transparent and provide answers to the questions posed for the past week which are still unanswered. Looking at the budget for Marketing and Promotions budget stands at about RM560 million for 2012, the cost of designing and re-branding may be several million Ringgit was a small figure. (more…)

After the MAS-AirAsia share “suap” was inked by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar (Amok), the MD of Khaznah Nasioanl Bhd, someone was deadly against the use of RED colour on MAS logo as it was strongly felt that RED is an exclusive colour for another airline. For the benefit of that someone, MAS was set up on 1-10-1972 and RED was the original colour of the logo of MAS! WHO INNOVATE and WHO IMITATE? (more…)
