In December 2012 MAS to operate three additional international routes from Kota Kinabalu. Yours truly believes that East Malaysians will be pleased with the decisions. MAS should also consider to resume the Bandung and Surabaya routes, which were terminated soon after the inking of the infamous MAS-AirAsia share swap by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the MD of Khazanah. MAS should also commence its Firefly jet services, which was also terminated after the said share swap.   (more…)

Tan Sri Mohamed Azman Yahya, who is a director of MAS for many years dated back to the WAU days and also a director of SCOMI and Symphony House Bhd. Why is he not up for re-election?

Updates @ 9:05 pm on 21-6-2012: Tan Sri Wan Azmi binWan Hamzah steps down from MAS Board during the AGM. The other aviation experts like Tan Sri Azman Yahya, Tan Sri Tan Boon Seng of IJM, Dato’ Rohanan binti Rozhan from ASTRO and David Lau Nai Pek are holding on to their directorship even though they could not show what were their contributions for the past TEN MONTHS. Tan Sri Wan Azmi;s said decision should be applauded and a very responsible acts.

One would have thought that Tan Sri Azman Yahya is a very busy man with so many companies to take care of especially SCOMI. The four chose to remain for reasons best known to themselves. Will do another posting soon about those remaining.

Updates @ 12:50 pm on 21-6-2012: The minority shareholders were questioning the competent and integrity of members of the Board of directors of MAS. They have also expressed their discontent with regards to their performance. From 10: 10 am this morning until now, the Board was still facing heavy criticisms from the shareholders. They could not even proceed to pass Resolution 1 to approve the Financial Statement let alone their Re-elections. The Board have been subjected to severe embarrassment. Yours truly has been informed that Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar’s most trusted crony, Rashdan, did not attend the AGM.

Yours truly must apologies for not been able to attend because your truly question on the BinaFikir‘s consultancy fees and the 12 companies involved in the fuel hedging losses for RM3.3 billion for Parliament was No: 4 on the list. It was answered at 10: 30 am this morning. It will be posted here later.

TS Azman Mokhtar, TS Tony F, Datuk K Meranun & Datuk Azman Yahya of SCOMI fame

Updates @ 3:55 pm on 9-5-2012: Yours truly has just been reminded by a reader Mr KL Ang that Mr Martin Barrow is another Mat Salleh that was brought back to MAS after the infamous Share “SUAP” and that he is just as incompetence as Mr Shane Nollan.  Mr Martin Barrow was brought back by AJ on 19-1-2012 to be Advisor to Group CEO and he also sit on the Board Safety & Security Committee and advise MAS on “Global developments on wide range of commercial issues”, in HERE.

With such Mat Salleh Advisor and yet AJ and the top management of MAS are still in desperate need for the other consultant firms like PlaneConsult and others to think for them. No wonder MAS is BLEEDING due to the “TOP HEAVY MANAGEMENT”.  Please read “Time to bring real aviation experts onto MAS board”.

On 18-4-2012 MAS Board of Directors saw it fit to extend the appointment of PlaneConsult, which is also the consultant for AirAsia and AirAsia X Sdn Bhd (AAX), for another three months from 30-4-2012.  Similarly, Mr Shane Nollan, of PlaneConsult, as the Acting Commercial Director of MAS was also extended. Why are the TRIO and the Board of Directors of MAS were so bent in harbouring Mr Shane Nollan and PlaneConsult in MAS when both are tainted with glaring CONFLICT OF INTEREST?   (more…)

Updates: 12-03-2012 @ 9:15 pm:  TV3 prime time news at 8:00 pm also gave a lengthy report with regards to the news of “reversing or cancellation” of the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap and CCF. Of course, Khazanah headed by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the ex founder of BianFikir Sdn Bhd refused to comments on the news. Tan Sri Tony Fernandes of AirAsia Bhd, AirAsia X Sdn Bhd and Tune Air Sdn Bhd has tweeted to say that he was not aware of the said news.

Yours truly has read an interesting article in Utusan today at page 18 with the headline “Perjanjian MAS, AirAsia batal?”. It said “sebelum ini, pertukaran saham antara syarikat penerbangan itu menimbulkan banyak polemik sehingga Suruhanjaya Sekuriti (SC) dan Bursa Malaysia terpaksa menjalankan siasatan.” The most interesting of all is “… bahawa kerjasama hanya memberi keuntungan besar kepada AirAsia.” (“… that the said co-operation only benefited AirAsia.”).
