Tan Sri, who is your "winner" in the secret share swap?
Updates: 12-03-2012 @ 9:15 pm: TV3 prime time news at 8:00 pm also gave a lengthy report with regards to the news of “reversing or cancellation” of the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap and CCF. Of course, Khazanah headed by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the ex founder of BianFikir Sdn Bhd refused to comments on the news. Tan Sri Tony Fernandes of AirAsia Bhd, AirAsia X Sdn Bhd and Tune Air Sdn Bhd has tweeted to say that he was not aware of the said news.
Yours truly has read an interesting article in Utusan today at page 18 with the headline “Perjanjian MAS, AirAsia batal?”. It said “sebelum ini, pertukaran saham antara syarikat penerbangan itu menimbulkan banyak polemik sehingga Suruhanjaya Sekuriti (SC) dan Bursa Malaysia terpaksa menjalankan siasatan.” The most interesting of all is “… bahawa kerjasama hanya memberi keuntungan besar kepada AirAsia.” (“… that the said co-operation only benefited AirAsia.”). Yours truly has been alerted by Anak Malaysia that a Petition Campaign has been launched against the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap and the “Comprehensive Collaborative Framework” (CCF). The said secret share swap and CCF were the brainchild of Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the MD of Khazanah Nasional Bhd, and his ex-business partner of BinaFikir Sdn Bhd and crony, En Mohammed Rashdan Yusof a.k. Danny (Rashdan). After a short span of 8 years BinaFikir Sdn Bhd was sold to Maybank Bhd for a whooping RM8 million! (more…)
Aussie Competition Commission: AirAsia’s pricing was misleading!

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), an equivalent of Malaysia Competition Commission (MYCC), has filed a lawsuit against AirAsia for failing to disclose the full air fare in its website for the following flights: Melborune and Macau, London, Ho Chi Minh City, New Delhi, Hangzhou & Chengdu, Perth and Taipei, Phuket, Osaka, London, Ho Chi Minh City and Hangzhou, Gold Coast and Ho Chi Minh City, in HERE. PAC Chairman, YB Dato" Hj Azmi Khalid (MP for Padang Besar)
During the Committee Stage of the Budget Debate this evening (2-11-2011), yours truly had to bring up the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap again because the Minister of Finance II did not answer the points raised during the Budget Policy Debate. Yours truly also questioned the Public Account Committee (PAC) whether it will investigate the said share swap. YB Dato’ Hj Azmi Khalid (MP for Padang Besar) told Parliament that PAC has decided to investigate into the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap. He has also told Parliament that when PAC visited KLIA and LCCT yesterday, he saw that many Firefly AirAsia aircraft were grounded. This must be part of the so-called “Collaborative Frameworks” as announced on 9-8-2011 by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the MD of Khazanah and a former business partner of En Mohamed Rashdan Yusof (the newly crowned Deputy CEO of MAS) in BinaFikir Sdn Bhd. Bursa KL is very quiet about the non disclosure of the MAS - AirAsia share swap
Prior to the inking of the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap and the “Collaborative Frameworks” agreements , both MAS and Tune Air Sdn Bhd did not make any announcement that they were negotiating for the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap. Both the directors of MAS and Tune Air Sdn Bhd’s are duty bound to disclose to Bursa KL about the said negotiations.

Mr Dep Minister must be thinking about his not so clever answers now!
YB Datuk Awang Adek, the Deputy Finance Minister told Parliament during Questions Time that MAS – AirAsia share swap of 20.5% MAS share against 10% AirAsia Bhd was based on closing price of both share counters on 5-8-2011. The Deputy Minister also told Parliament that said share swap was all about “KERJASAMA”/Co-operations between the two airlines. But he could not elaborate what he meant by “Kerjasama”/co-operation. He also said the public will be told of the “Kerjasama” from time to time. Why from time to time? Why not do a tell-all now. Are there anything to hide, Mr Deputy Finance Minister? (more…)
