Hari ini adalah hari penghujung bagi bulan puasa bulan yang mulia ini, saya ingin mengambil kesempatan ini untuk mengucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir Batin kepada semua umat Islam di Kawasan Wangsa Maju dan seluruh Malaysia dan kepada semua sahabat-sahabat bukan Muslim sekalian Selamat Bercuti.
Saya amat berharap kepada saudara/saudari supaya berhati-hati di jalan raya agar kita semua dapat sampai ke destinasi yang dituju dengan selamat.
Sekali lagi saya ucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Rice for orphans during Ramadan

Earlier today I visited 3 orphanages and presented them with 30 packets of 5kg packs of rice each. The orphanages are known as Persatuan Kebajikan Teratak Shifa Kuala Lumpur and Selangor located at Taman P. Ramlee, Setapak; Nor Iman at Taman Ibu Kota; and Baitul Ummah at Setapak Indah. (more…)

11th Anniversary Celebration of TiRatana Charity

Yesterday, 20 September 2008, was the 11th Anniversary of the TiRatana Charity. A dinner, which was graced by more than 1,000 donors, was held at the Desa Water Park to celebrate the occasion. The guests of honour were His Excellency, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka, and his wife. Also present were YB Teresa Kok, MP for Seputeh, YB Loh Gwo Burne, MP for Kelana Jaya, and myself. (more…)

This is exceedingly good news. I hope the next one to be released will be Raja Petra Kamarudin followed by the rest of the ISA detainees. Let’s abolish the ISA for its draconian nature which is detention without trial. We have enough laws to prosecute anyone for whatever crimes committed.
